KITTY CHRISTMAS

My background paper for this card is from the First Edition Christmas Wishes pack.  I have used a pre-coloured digi from The Paper Shelter, called Christmas Decorations; and two rubber stamps from Art Impressions from the Purrr-thday Set, and the Cat Stackers set, coloured with markers.  The cat paw prints are a KaiserCraft stamp, from the Pawfect Cat set.  The sentiment was a freebie stamp, so I'm not sure who it's by.  The Christmas tree is a Silhouette image, cut on my Cameo.  The window frame was cut on the Cricut.  The Christmas stockings are Little B stickers.  I have added little round gems and star gems (Dovecraft) to the tree.

This is the 24th card in a series I am working on: Christmas cards for pet lovers.

The background image for this card is a Lili of the Valley Simply Print image.  The original image had a cat and a mouse on it, so I printed an extra one to cut up and covered them up.  It's far more noticeable in the photograph than in real life.  I then cut the chicken and ducks on my Cameo.  The snowman is an Artoz Artwork sticker.  I've added Liquid Pearls for snow.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

I have used a Paper Shelter digi called Christmas Shopping for this card.  I have added Glossy Accents to her eyes and the holly berries.  I drew the tree-lined path background myself, which I'm rather pleased with 😁.  My papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Celebrate The Season Collection.  The snowflake charm is Tim Holtz.  The flowers are 49 and Market and Petaloo.  I've also added Prima Say it in Crystals swirls and a strip of Ultimate Crafts lace.  

The snowflakes were cut on the Cricut, from the Disney Frozen cartridge (pink and purple) and the Holiday Snowflakes cartridge.  The card shape was cut from the Mother's Day 2010 Cricut cartridge.

PASSION FOR PROMARKERS CHALLENGE #421: LET IT SNOW

Can you believe, Christmas is less that 6 weeks away!!!  This week our very talented Jacky has chosen the theme for your challenge.  She is hoping to get you into the Christmas spirit, with the fun theme: Let It Snow!

Bugaboo Stamps are sponsoring our challenge this week.  They are offering our random winner the generous prize of a $12 voucher for their store!  

I got to use Scene It - Winter Friends.  I coloured my image with ProMarkers and decided to try a new technique I learned at Kit & Clowder.  After colouring the background with ProMarkers, I dabbed dots of rubbing alcohol onto the image, creating the blobby look.  I was going for falling snowflakes, but it looks more like falling snowballs! 🤣🤣  

I have added Liquid Pearls for snow, Glossy Accents on the string of baubles and used a silver pen for the bauble string and starry snowflakes.  The background paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Celebrate The Season Collection.  The blue-ish snowflakes are docrafts stickers.  My flowers are Petaloo.

LITTLE ANGEL

 Life has been so chaotic in my household over the last few weeks.  Two of my three children (both daughters) got married during the last 2 months, with the two weddings specifically planned close to one another in time, to accommodate friends and family from all over the world.  Needless to say, I haven't been able to do much carding just for the pure joy of it, but rather, only managed to get done what absolutely couldn't wait till after the chaos died down.  

Today's card is just for the pure joy of being creative! 💃🏼

I have used a Paper Shelter digital stamp, called Angel, and coloured her with ProMarkers.  I distressed the edges and inked them with Distress Ink.  My papers are all Wilson & Maclagan.  The sentiment was printed directly onto the coloured paper, and cut out using a Poppy Crafts die.  My flowers are 49 and Market (white) and Petaloo (pink).  

I've used a stunning piece of delicate lace bought from my local haberdashery, and another thin strip of lace against the image rectangle.  I've also added a little white ribbon bow, to the doilies, which deserve their own paragraph...

One of my recent Design Team cards for Passion for Promarkers had 3 little Bo Bunny doilies on it, and my fellow Design Team ladies thought they were fabulous.  That got me thinking 🤔...  My mother was spending a few weeks here visiting, to attend the 2 weddings.  She is very creative with needles, and one of her favourite crafts is crocheting.  This was an opportunity not to be missed!  We popped out to stock up on supplies, set her up on the couch with Vera on DVD, playing in front of her, and 60-something doilies later, I have the most beautiful supply of doilies to play with on my cards!  We took a photograph of them all together, which you can see on her blog, if you're interested.  Please leave her some love... that way she'll feel extra motivated the next time she visits! 😉

Finally, to add some SPARKLE, I put a rim of Stickles around the sentiment frame and on little Angel's bodice, and added a few Petite Posies by Queen & Co.

PET LOVER'S CHRISTMAS 2017 10

Yes, this is the 10th pet focussed Christmas card I've made in the last 2 weeks or so!  

My papers for this card came from the docrafts Christmas with Wellington pack.  The Santa image is a Silhouette Print & Cut image, cut on my Cameo.  The star of the day is a Newton's Nook rubber stamped kitty, coloured with ProMarkers.  The fantastic paw-print ribbon is Offray.  The sentiment is a docrafts sticker, stuck onto a frame cut on the Cameo.  I have added a rim of gold Stickles for some Christmas sparkle.  

I made a huge mistake while waiting for the Stickles to dry.  I popped the sentiment stickers back into their plastic sleeve and put it down on top of the drying tag 😫!!!  It lifted and messed up the glitter, so it had to be redone - and treated with respect while it dried 😑.

Since these cards are all about our love for our furry owners, I thought I'd show you what I was dealing with, while trying to take these pics.  I normally take my card pics with the fantastic natural light coming through the windows in this particular room, with the card propped on a white chair.  This morning the light was changing a lot as clouds rolled past, so I thought I'd see how they came out, if I were to lay the card on the tiled floor.  CARD ON THE FLOOR = INVITATION TO BENTLEY, my precious furry boy.  I apologise for the extreme exposure in the pics, but I didn't want to miss the shot, wasting time setting up the camera. properly.
