PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE #404: ANYTHING GOES

Hi Everybody!

I have used a gorgeous image from A Day For Daisies, called Mr. Right.  I have coloured the image with markers, and added in a morning sunrise for them.

This image really touched my heart!  My husband and I love watching tv series together.  We particularly love British crime series.  There's a scene in the British version of the Swedish series Wallander, where the main character (played by Kenneth Branagh) is having an argument with his father, who is battling dementia.  The argument ends with the father walking off to sit on his favourite bench with his wife, and he exclaims, 'at least I have found someone to sit with' - jabbing at the fact that his son lives a painfully lonely, single life.

Having 'Someone to sit with' as you grow old is such a beautiful thing to think about, and it became a phrase my husband and I often referred to as the most important goal to work towards in life.

My image and sentiment have been cut out using Poppy Crafts dies.  My papers for this card come from the Craft & You Design I Love Vintage pack.  I've added a strip of lace along the edge.  The heart swirl is a laser cut by The Dusty Attic, and the film strip of a laser cut by Celebr8 - a connection to the tv series.  I've sprayed both laser cuts with white Gesso.  I've added a few little pearls and two pearl hearts.

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #360: WINTER FUN

Good Morning Paper Shelter lovers!

Our challenge for the coming week is 

WINTER FUN

I have used Keep Warm on my card.  I've coloured the image with markers and drawn in a snowy background for them.  

My background paper is from the 13 @rts Until Dawn pack.  The woodgrain paper that I've stamped the sentiments onto is from the Craft & You Design White Christmas pack.  The sentiments themselves are Stampendous! clear stamps.  

I've used KaiserCraft wooden snowflakes and holly, and sprayed them with white Gesso.  I sprayed a dash of Gesso onto the greenery on the left too, because it was a bit too much green for what I was trying to achieve.  

My flowers are 49 and Market and Green Tara.  I've used a Joy! Crafts border die to the little trees at the bottom of the card, and I've added a white ribbon and a strip of cheesecloth.

I have used a Just Me image on my card.  It's called Brand New Baby.  I have coloured the image with markers, cut it out and mounted it onto a piece of acetate.  

My papers are from the DCWV Nana's Kids stack.  The sentiment is a Simonne Clay clear stamp, and I've cut it out using a Creative Dies wonky stitches die.  My embellishments are Jolee's and Creative Mates.

THE MALE ROOM CHALLENGE #97: TOOLS

Hi There Everybody!

I have the privilege of being the Guest Designer at The Male Room this fortnight, where the theme is
TOOLS

I have used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil, called Mister Fixit, and coloured the image with markers.  I drew in the background for him, to match my husband's shed, where he built his own storage cupboard.

My paper is from the KaiserCraft Memory Lane pack.  The corner tool die cut is from Find It Media, and everything else is Jolee's

This is the back of the card.  I've left the message box loose for now, to make it easier to write on when the time comes.

We have a brand new challenge starting at Passion for Promarkers today!  Our lovely Donna has chosen the theme.  She would like you to use HALLOWEEN COLOURS on your project this week.  It doesn't have to be Halloween themed, just using the traditional halloween colour palette.

I have used the sweet Blitz on my card, and coloured her with ProMarkers.

I used:

Hair & Pants: Black; Cool Greys 3-5

Top & Shoes: Plum; Purple; Amethyst

Scarf: Pear Green; Lime Green; Lime Zest; Orange; Pumpkin; Gold

Skin: Cinnamon; Coral; Sunkissed Pink; Putty; Blush

Sky: Cool Aqua; Arctic Blue

Clouds: Ice Greys 1-3; Blue Pearl

Ground:  I first coloured it in browns: Sandstone; Raw Sienna; Cocoa; Burnt Sienna

And then went over it in the same greens I'd used for the scarf

My papers are from the Hunkydory Over The Rainbow pack.  The sentiments are Jenny Ellory clear stamps.  The flowers are Petaloo; Green Tara and Little Birdie, and the gem swirls are Bella! Bling.

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS JOIE AUTUMN

Hi Everybody!

It's all about Autumn at Digi Doodle Studios at the moment, and I have a lovely image to share with you today!  Her name is Joie Autumn, and she's doing something I just can't resist!

I have coloured the image with markers.  My papers are from the Carta Bella Hello Fall pack, and the sentiment is from the Heartfelt Creations Beary Fun Retreat collection.  I've used a gorgeous tree with squirrels die from Find It Trading, and several Autumn leaf dies from Find It Trading and Prima.  My flowers are 49 and Market and KaiserCraft.

BEAUTIFUL KNITTER

This beautiful image is from Sweet Escape Digis, and it's called Knitting Lady.  I have coloured it with markers.  My papers are from the Stamperia New England pack.  I've cut the balloons using a Poppy Crafts die.  My flowers are Magnolia and 49 and Market.  The doily was crocheted by Annette.  The little pink knitted goodies are Creative Mates.  I've added a strip of lace and a kitten brad (Eyelet Outlet).  I gave the kitten a teeny ball of wool to play with.
