A Special Day

This is a wedding card for my niece and her new husband.  I've used an Alicia Bel image called A Special Day, and coloured the image with markers.

My papers are from the Maja Design Celebration pack.  The tags were cut from Creative Dies wonky stitches dies, and the shape behind the couple from a Spellbinders die.  The doily was hand crocheted by my mother, so the bride's grandmother.  The flowers are Green Tara.  The sentiment is from a freebie set that came with a craft magazine.  The two little pearl hearts are Craft Consortium.  I've also added a few random hearts and a strip of lace, as well as too teeny Dress It Up Button lambs.

The lambs are a reference to how the couple met: The groom's family are sheep farmers and it was lambing season, so they invited the public in to see the new babes.  The groom was working there that day, and the bride and her mum visited.

Thanks so much for popping in to have a look!

OLIVER STUDYING

My nephew is doing a degree in Maths, and I am in awe of the kind of brain that could, and would want to do that!

The image on this card for him is from Lili of the Valley.  It's called Oliver Studying, and I have coloured the image with markers.  I used a Tim Holtz brick stencil and Distress Ink to create the wall behind him.

My papers are from the KaiserCraft Documented pack.  The little wooden goodies are also KaiserCraft.  The sentiment is Dovecraft, and the little mini books are Houseworks Ltd miniatures.

To add a dash of maths to the card, I created and measured a few angles between papers.  I'm embarrassed to admit that I needed to be reminded how to use a Protractor accurately!!  Pathetic!

Hi Everybody!

I hope you enjoyed the blog hop!  Thank you so much to everyone who shared in the celebrations with us, and a special thank you to everyone who left a comment on my post.

This was the first Blog Hop I participated in as a Design Team member, and I must be honest, I found it incredibly difficult to settle for only one comment winner ☹️.  I truly wish that each and every one of you could be honoured and win an image.  Alas... I can only award one winner, and my chosen winner is...

Congratulations Lillian!!!  You'll find all your instructions on the challenge blog.  Thank you so much for your visit and the lovely comment you left on my post!
