THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #368: DIES AND/OR PUNCHES

Good morning everyone!

This week at The Paper Shelter, we'd like you to use DIES AND/OR PUNCHES on your creations.

My son transformed from a playstation playing couch lover, into an organic gardener and chef, when he got married.  He and his wonderful wife cook and eat meals from homegrown ingredients most days.  I thought this image would be perfect for an anniversary card for them.  The image is called Trust me, it's Delicious!  I have coloured the image with markers.

I've also used the Love paper that's included with the image, to cut my hearts, which was done using a set of Sizzix Framelits dies.

My image and sentiment were cut out using wonky stitches dies by Creative Dies.  The background woodgrain paper is from the Maja Design Denim & Friends pack.  The cooking goodies are all Dress It Up buttons

PASSION FOR PROMARKERS CHALLENGE #478: INSPIRED BY THE BIG SCREEN

Good morning Promarker lovers!

We have a new challenge starting at Passion for Promarkers today with a fabulous prize up for grabs!

My movie of choice for this challenge is: FLASHDANCE!

We have a dancer in our family, and this image from Cute As A Button Stamps instantly made me think of her.  The image is called Flashdance, and I have coloured it with Promarkers.  I also drew in a bit of a background for her.

I used:

Skin: Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Coral, Cinnamon, with a dash of Baby Pink on her cheeks

Hair & Eyes: Sandstone, Caramel, Walnut, Umber

Pink: Blossom, Rose Pink, Marroon

Black: Cool Greys 3-5, Black

Purple: Orchid, Amethyst, Purple

Silver: Ice Greys 3-5

Mirrors: Ice Greys 1 & 2

Wall: Warm Greys 1 & 2

Floor: Sandstone, Caramel, Burnt Sienna

Red: Red, Burgundy

Blue: Pastel Blue, Blue Pearl, Cornflower

My papers are from the Stamperia Wedding pack.  I've added a strip of pink lace and Bo Bunny gem swirls.  The grey 'lace' is an Ultimate Crafts die cut; the paw print heart and the sentiment banner are Spellbinders.  I typed the sentiment up on my computer.

I've popped in a little Dress It Buttons kitty and my flowers are Prima.

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS TEA TIME

Our current challenge at Digi Doodle Studios is:

I chose this gorgeous pair, called Tea Time to use for a birthday card for my mother-in-law.  She's grown her hair quite long, and I absolutely love long hair - especially long grey hair!  

My papers are from the Stamperia Shabby Rose pack.  I've used Poppy Crafts dies for the tag, postcard, swirly heart and grey paper in the background.  The kitty cat is an Amy Design die cut.  My flowers are Prima and Blossoms By Vivaldi.  I've also added a a lovely sheer ribbon bow and a few random pearls.

I have used one of the images from the Cat's Meow Set from Sparkle n Sprinkle.  This fantastic set comes with 4 adorable kitties and several sentiments, one of which I also used on my card!  If I were a little more creative, I'd have found a way to use more than one on my card, but I knew exactly who I wanted to make a card for, and the image that suited him!  

I have coloured the image with markers and drawn in a background for him.  My papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Coffee Talk pack.  The two little kitties are Dress It Up buttons.  The little heart is also a button.  I've added some corner pearls.

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #366: DIGITAL IMAGE

Good Morning Paper Shelter lovers!

We have a new challenge starting today, and the theme is:

Use a DIGITAL IMAGE

I've given in to beauty this week... In my role as designer, I tend to pick older images from our sponsors to work with, for 2 reasons: 1) The newer images get quite a lot of attention, and I don't want to bore you with yet another card using one of them, and 2) The older images are so lovely, I don't want them overlooked.  But then this image popped up, and all my self-imposed rules went out the window!  How stunning is this image!!!

She's called Glittery And Sparkling, and I have coloured her with markers.  I've then cut her out using a Spellbinders die, and used a different Spellbinders die to cut some of the papers.  

My papers and sentiment are from the Heartfelt Creations Lush Lilac pack.  It's one of my favourites. If you visit my blog much, you'll know that I lean toward purples, so I really love this paper pack!  Enough to have bought a 2nd one, just in case I run out.  

The starry corner was cut using a Poppy Crafts die.  In case you can't quite tell from the photograph, it's cut from silver mirrored card.  I've added two doilies hand crocheted by my mum.  My flowers are 49 and Market, Little Birdie, Petaloo and KaiserCraft.

Hair: Black; Cool Greys 2-5

Blue: Sky Blue; Azure; True Blue; Indigo Blue

Green: Duck Egg; Turquoise; Petrol Blue

Orange: Saffron; Gold; Pumpkin; Bright Orange

I have inked the edges of the image square.  The two cars are layered stickers.

My papers are from the Your Next Stamp Summer Plaid pack.  The tool die cuts are Amy Design, and the gems are Prima Say It In Crystals.

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY CHALLENGE #156: ANYTHING GOES + FOUR SEASONS

Hello Crafters!

Here's some mid-month inspiration for you using one of the fabulously fun images from Digistamps 4 Joy!  

This will be our last challenge, as the Digistamps 4 Joy store will be closing at the end of January.  The entire store is discounted for the month of January, so grab your favourites at half price WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

We're celebrating the seasons this month, and I've chosen Summer.  My image is called Ready To Swim and I have coloured it with markers.  I also added a few marker dots to the butterfly.

My papers and tags are from the Bo Bunny Make A Splash pack.  I've used a Spellbinders border die, because the shape reminded me of waves.

My flowers are a mix of 49 and Market and Green Tara.

You don't have to follow the theme to enter the challenge on our blog.  In fact, you can enter using any image and any theme!
