ARTY DIVAS

I'm super excited to be Guest Designing for Arty Divas today! 

I took some time to consider what I enjoy most about this art we love, called card-making.  I whittled it down to 3 main aspects: A light 'shabby-chic' look; colouring, and flowers as embellishments.  

I've used an image from Sweet Escape Digis, called Winter Girl, and coloured her with markers, then cut her out with a blade.  I decided to oversize her on the card, to be able to do some detailed colouring.  She's been mounted onto the background with puffy pads.

My papers are from the Stamperia House of Roses paper pack.  I've distressed the edges.  I've added 3 plastic swirls by Anna Belle, and KaiserCraft pearls.  My flowers are all Prima.

CONIE FONG'S SWEET ANNABELLE

 
I have had the privilege to create a few cards over the last few weeks, using images from Conie Fong Art, as part of the Guest Designing team.  This gorgeous image is called Sweet Annabelle.

I have coloured the image with markers and used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.

I've placed a sheet of corrugated paper onto my card base and then the pink paper onto that.  The pink paper is from the Mintay Secret Place paper pack.  I've torn the corners off, leaving the edges rough.

The white swirls are Anna Belle.  My flowers are 49 and Market.  I've also added a few pearls.

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #416: COLOUR IT

Good Morning lovely crafters!

We have a brand new challenge on the go at The Paper Shelter!  Your theme this week is:

COLOUR IT!

 So this week, we'd like to see some hand colouring on your creation.

I've chosen to make a card with Rosie.  I have coloured the image with markers and then used a blade to cut her out..

My papers are from the Prima Rose Quartz paper pack.  I've placed two sheets on top of each other, and then torn and frayed bits of the top paper to let some of the bottom paper show through.  

My flowers are a mixture of Green Tara; Little Birdie and KaiserCraft.  The two corner metal embellishments are Tim Holtz and the charm is Ribtex.

I've also added a gem swirl by Bella! Bling.

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS GENTLEMAN GEORGE

The month of love isn't only about Valentine's Day, is it!  There are still anniversaries, and I thought this adorable image would be perfect for a card for my son to give to his wife for their anniversary.  It's called Gentleman George, and I have coloured it with markers.

My papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Blushing Rose collection.  I've added a ribbon and a metal double heart embellishment.  The giant sequined LOVE is Jolee's and my flowers are Green Tara.

Whatever the occasion, you'll find something adorable  in the Digi Doodle Studios store to use on your cards!

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS NEW RELEASE BOLT & JULIET

We're showing off a set of gorgeous New Releases at Digi Doodle Studios this week, just in time for Valentine's Day.  Whether it's love or friendship you're celebrating, there's something new for you!

This beautiful image is called Bolt & Juliet.

I have coloured the image with markers and framed it with a Spellbinders die cut.

I've used several other dies on this card:  The top heart is Poppy Crafts, the solid heart is Spellbinders, and the heart dandelion is Amy Design (Find IT Media).

My paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Floral Fashionista Collection and the sentiment is an Apple Blossom stamp.  My flowers are a mix of Prima and 49 and Market.  I've added a thick strip of lace and a dotty ribbon.
