THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #458: CLEAN & SIMPLE

 Good Morning crafters!

This week's theme at The Paper Shelter is
CLEAN & SIMPLE

Now when I see the words 'clean and simple', I have a bit of a panic attack.  Nothing about my cards is clean and simple, and it's a style I find incredibly difficult.  I so desperately want to fill up all that white space!!

I have picked one of the adorable Zodiac images for my card.  I've done a few of them, and the circular shape fitted the idea I had in my head for the style of this card.

This is Pisces.

I have coloured the image with Copics and mounted it to the base card with puffy pads.  I've then drawn in the little bubbles outside the circle, as they appeared on the original image.

The sentiment has been placed on a Creative Dies little tag die cut, and I've added a few Prima Say it in Crystals dots to the card.

Lastly, I felt I needed to edge my card with something, so I doodled a border with a Unipin fine line pen.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in to see my card today!

FEMININE creations.

Our sponsor this week is offering a super prize!

I have used a beautiful image called Camille Amore.  I have coloured the image with Copics:

White: C3; C2; C1; C0
Pink: R85; R83; R81; RV10

The image has been allowed to extend beyond the borders of the wonky stitches die I've cut her out with, but Creative Dies.

My papers are from two Prima packs: Love Story & Dulce.  I've edged one of the papers on two sides, with a soft pink lace.  I've added two Celebr8 laser cuts, which I've sprayed with white Gesso.  Finally, I've used pink and white flowers (all from I Am Roses) with a few pearls scattered around them.

The girls have put together a beautiful showcase for our sponsor, so be sure to pop over for a look.

PAPER NEST DOLLS PROM AVERY

This beauty from Paper Nest Dolls is called Prom Avery.

I have coloured the image with Copics and then cut her out with a craft knife.

My papers are from the Ciao Bella Modern Times paper pack, and the sentiment from a freebie stamp set from a craft magazine.

I've added a Tim Holtz film strip mingled with 49 and Market flowers.  At the bottom of the film strip is a Bella! Bling gem swirl, and in the top right of the card, I've threaded a ribbon through a Tim Holtz pearl sunburst.

You can find more of these adorable images in the Paper Nest Dolls store.

PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE #490: ANYTHING GOES

It's time for another fun challenge at Penny's, and this week we have two fabulous sponsors:

giving away 2 digi images of the winner's choice

and

giving away a $10 store voucher

I have used an adorable image from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, called Mood Music.

I have coloured the image with Copics.

One of my most recent purchases was this sweet paper pack by Echo Park, called Magical Birthday Girl. I thought it would be perfect for this image. The sentiment stickers are included in the pack.

I've added two pink gems and a strip of lace tape, and then decided that the paper was busy enough, and I shouldn't add anything else.

Be sure to pop past the challenge blog to see what the team have showcased, and get your entries in for an opportunity to win one of super prizes.

CUTE AS A BUTTON SHARE THE LOVE

February may be the month of love, but it isn't only about Valentine's Day, right?  I've decided to send some love to others this month too.

This gorgeous image is called Share The Love.

I have coloured the image with Copics, then used a My Favourite Things bricks stencil and Distress Ink to  create her background.

The image has been cut out using a Creative Dies wonky stitches die, and another has been used for the tag shape behind the image.  My papers are from the Dress My Craft Dream Door paper pack.  I've added a strip of KaiserCraft lace and a few pearls.

The ornate corner is a Make It Crafty laser cut, which I've coloured with black marker.  It was originally a rectangle frame, but I've cut it apart to use the corners separately.

The sentiment is from a Craft Potential stamp & die set, and my flowers are all from I Am Roses.

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS NEEJA FAIRY

This beautiful image is one of the New Releases at Digi Doodle Studios last month.  Her name is Neeja Fairy.

I have coloured the image with Copics and then framed her with 2 KaiserCraft circle dies, adding pearls to the scalloped circle.

My papers are from the Maja DesignVintage Spring Basics paper pack.  I've added a giant Offray wired sheer ribbon and lots of I Am Roses flowers.  There's also a strip of Simplicity rose lace.

The sentiment is from a Crafti Potential stamp and die set and the little doily behind is Precious Marieke.  The 2 puffy hearts are Tiany.

I wanted to have something causing her sweet smile, so I added a cute Little Birdie bee flying past.

We have lots of inspiration to share in our Facebook Group, so be sure to join us there!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #456: DECORATE IT

Good Morning crafty friends!

Our new challenge at The Paper Shelter has kicked off and this week, we'd like you to
DECORATE
your project.

I am so in love with this fantastic image!  It's called Funky Girl.

I have coloured the image with Copics and then used a Spellbinders die to frame her.

My papers and sentiment are from the Ciao Bella The Seventies paper pack, and I've used a Spellbinders scalloped oval die for the dotty paper.

To decorate the card, I've used Creative Expressions swirly leaf dies, Petaloo flowers and pearls.

Up for grabs this week is our usual fantastic prize!  You could win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your project (black & white digi, pre-coloured image or paper), or 3 digis of your choice if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

We're looking forward to seeing your wonderful projects this week!
