PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #699: CHRISTMAS ANIMALS IN JULY

 

If you're like me, and always plan to get your Christmas cards done early in the year, but never quite manage to do so, then this week's challenge at Passion for Markers, chosen by our lovely Wendy, is perfect for you!

Our theme for the week is:

CHRISTMAS ANIMALS IN JULY

I've used one of the imagse from our sponsor that I've had in my stash for a while.  It's called Xmas Bear.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find it in store to link to for you.  Not only do we have a Christmas bear, but there are two little robins in the image too!

I've coloured the image with Copics and then cut it out by hand.

My base card is a Christmas hat, cut on my Cricut, using papers from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Winter Woods paper pack.

My flowers are a mix of I am Roses and Little Birdie.  The Christmas stocking is Little B; the sentiment is Dovecraft; the tree and snowflakes are Buttons Galore & More buttons; and the pearls are Studio Light.

Good Morning lovely crafters!

I have used a sweet little bunny from Di's Digi Stamps, called The Carrot is Mine.  I wasn't able to find it in store anymore, so I haven't linked it for you.

I have coloured the image with Copics and then cut it out with a blade.

My papers are from the DCWV Bouquet de Fleur paper pack.  The Happy Birthday was cut on my Cameo.

I've added a little bow and a few pearls.

I've used an adorable image from Di's Digi Stamps called Sitting Knitting.  When my mom visits, we spend hours sitting together on the couch, knitting and watching crime series.  I thought this image was perfect for a card for her.  I have coloured the image with Promarkers.

It's a LONG list, but here they are:

Mice: Ice Greys 1-5; Blossom

Knitting needles: Cool Greys 4; 2; 1

Green yarn: Lush Green; Green; Soft Green; Pastel Green

Blue yarn: Indigo Blue; True Blue; Azure; Sky Blue

Orange yarn: Burnt Orange; Pumpkin; Gold; Saffron

Purple yarn: Slate; Amethyst; Lilac; Bluebell

Pink yarn & label: Maroon; Fuchsia Pink; Pink Carnation; Blossom

My papers are from the DCWV Baby Girl Stack.  One of the pages in this paper pack is of 4 different panels of knitting, and that's what I pulled the pack out for, but the colours were a it off the mark for me.  I paged through and found these two sheets.  The front sheet is a patchwork of different patterns, so I picked the spot on the page that would give me the few I wanted.

I've used a Martha Stewart punch for the edging of the image.  The flowers are Little Birdie.  I've added a few gems around the card to tie in with the gem centres on the flowers.  The bunting is Jenni B and the letters are American Crafts.  I've added two teeny remade bows to the edges of the bunting.  Lastly, I wrote the label by hand.

PET LOVERS CHRISTMAS 2018 21

This is the 21st and LAST of a series of Christmas cards I have made for pet lovers.  

This super image is from Di's Digi Stamps.  It's called Dilly The Dog.  I have coloured the image with markers.

My papers are from the ScrapBerry's Elegantly Festive pack.  The borders are actually silver mirrored card, though you can't tell in the pictures.  I might try taking new pics when I have better light.  

I've added a strip of glittered wispy stuff, and mini tree ornaments by Create Christmas, as well as a few glitter dots by doCrafts.

FURRY ANNIVERSARY

This adorable image is from Di's Digi Stamps.  It's called Together Home Forever Mice, and I have coloured it with markers.  

The background paper is from the PhotoPlay Cake Rainbow Sprinkles pack.  The sentiment and heart swirl were cut on my Cameo.  I've added a ribbon and premade bow, plus two teeny gems.

PASSION FOR PROMARKERS CHALLENGE #455: SPOTS/STRIPES

Hi There Promarker lovers!

We have a brand new challenge starting at Passion for Promarkers today, with a super prize up for grabs!!

Will be giving our winner a £15 store voucher!

To be eligible to win this awesome prize, all you need to do is use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products (Promarkers, tria, flex, aqua or metallic), and follow the theme.

Jacky has chosen your theme this week: She'd like to see spots and/or stripes on your project.  

To give you al little inspiration to get going with your creation for the week, I've made a card using a sweet little Di's Digi Stamps image, called Kitty In A Teacup, which I've coloured with Promarkers.

I've used the following colours:

Kitty: Walnut, Henna, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Caramel, Sandstone, Oatmeal, Pale Pink on the cheeks

Teacups: Pink: Maroon, Rose Pink, Baby Pink

Purple: Amethyst, Orchid, Lilac

Green: Grass, Bright Green, Leaf Green, Apple

White: Ice Greys 1-3 & blender

Blue: True Blue, Azure, Sky Blue

Yellow: Sunflower, Lemon

My striped paper is from the DCWV Bouquet De Fleur stack, and the floral & dots paper used for the teapot is from the DCWV The Glitter stack.  The teapot was cut from the Everyday Pop Up Cards Cricut cartridge.  I used Ice Grey 1 and the Promarker blender on the edges to give it a bit of dimension.  

My flowers are Little Birdie.  The sentiment is Dovecraft.  The glittery heart is Jolee's.  I've added a wide white ribbon and bow and a few pink gems.

My image is called Hoppy Birthday to You, and I have coloured it with ProMarkers.  I have used a Sizzix hearts embossing folder for the white paper, and cut the baby blocks on my Cricut.  I've added some teeny gems to the blocks.
