THE PAPER SHELTER SUMMER BREAK CHALLENGE: ANYTHING GOES

Good Morning lovely crafters!

It's our Summer Break challenge - a time for The Paper Shelter design teams to take a break and spend some time with our families.  The challenge will run for 4 weeks.  Our theme for this one is:
ANYTHING GOES

This beautiful image is called Urban Spring Girl.  I have colured the image with Copics.

My paper and the film strip is from the Asuka Studio Good Life Shine paper pack.  The two strips of tickets are 49 and Market.

I've added 49 and Market flowers and 'tied them off' with a strip of Simplicity plaited leather.  I've finished my card off with Echo Park enamel dots.

My lighting for these pics has been terrible!  If I get a chance with better lighting, I'll replace them with decent shots later.

Our winner will win a 6 products of your choice if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 products of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #749: CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Good Morning colourists!

This week our theme is one that I NEED, because life is so busy that I run out of time to get all my Christmas cards done in time.  Our theme for the week:
CHRISTMAS IN JULY

And we're sponsored by

who will be awarding our lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice.

I've chosen Pressie Time for my card.

I've coloured the image using Copics and used a Poppy Crafts die to cut it out.

My paper is from the docrafts Christmas with Wellington paper pack.  I've added a strip of lace from my stash, Bo Bunny buttons and a little Echo Park sentiment tag.

Be sure to pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the team have created to inspire you this week.

Thanks for visiting!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #605: HOLIDAY TIME

Good Morning lovely crafters!

Our theme at The Paper Shelter this week is:
HOLIDAY TIME
You can choose either an 'official' holiday, or any vacation activity.

I've decided to make a Christmas card using one of the images from the Christmas Ornaments pdf Colouring Books.

I've coloured the image with Copics and framed it using a Spellbinders die.

My paper and sentiment are from the Echo Park Oh Holy Night paper pack.  I've used a KaiserCraft die to frame the sentiment, and added a bow from a strip of ribbon from my stash of 'rescued ribbon'.

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #747: FAVOURITE COLOURS

Good Morning friends!

We have a wonderful theme at Passion for Markers this week.  We'd like you to use your
FAVOURITE COLOURS.

I LOVE browns and my favourite combos are anything with brown.

Up for grabs this week, we have 2 digi images from our sponsor:

I've used a beautiful image from our sponsor this week, called Roses.  I've coloured the image with Copics and used a Poppy Crafts stitched edge die to cut it out.  I layered the image onto another die cut oval, using the same die.  Now I specifically didn't clean up the edges of the image, where my markers bled outside the lines, to prove a point.  We as colourists, are often extremely hard on ourselves, and yet, if you look at the finished product, I'd bet you didn't even notice that my colours had gone out of the lines.  The overall image is what grabs the recipient's eye, not the tiny defects.  Go ahead... zoom in on the close-up of the image and you'll see lots of area that I'd normally use a white pencil or gel pen, to cover up.  I have used a white pencil to highlight on the image.

My paper is from the Stamperia Coffee and Chocolate paper pack.  I've added three little Bo Bunny candy dots and a die cut sentiment, using a Creative Dies die and then colouring the die cut, using the same colours I used for the image.

We're hoping to see lots of your favourite colours this week, and we hope you have lots of fun creating.

Thanks for popping in!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #603: THREE TIMES ANYTHING

Good Morning everyone!

Our theme at The Paper Shelter this week is:
THREE TIMES ANYTHING

I've gone with a telescoping card using 3 circles.  I chose Warm Feelings, because the circle she's sitting on, is part of the image.  I have coloured the image with Copics and then used a blade to cut her out.

I used my Cameo to cut the remaining circles, using paper from the Crafter's Companion Belle Countryside paper pack.  Brads attach the circles to each other and an eyelet has been used to attach the ribbon at the top.  I've then added three little pearls on the biggest panel, and three teeny I Am Roses flowers to the image panel.

My two sentiments are Creative Expressions stamps.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week we have 6 products of your choice, if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 products of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #745: ADD A NUMBER

Good Morning crafty friends!

Our theme this week is:
ADD A NUMBER

And up for grabs: Our generous sponsor will be giving away 3 digi images

I've used Upside Down on my card.

I've coloured the image with Copics and lightly inked the edges.

My papers are from the Memory Place Magical Wonders paper pack.  I've used a Creative Expressions die to cut the floral paper.

My all important number is an American Crafts glittered foam sticker.

I've added an Offray ribbon and to the bow I've added a Hemline button.  I've added a few other buttons too: The cat is Dress it Up, and the pick and yellow are Simple Stories.  My flowers are a mix of Prima and I Am Roses.

The rest of the team have created super inspiration projects for you this week, so be sure to pop over for a look.

Thanks for visiting today!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #601: SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Our theme at The Paper Shelter this week is
SUMMER ACTIVITIES

One of my favourite activities at any time of year is walking, and in Summer, it's so beautiful to take beach walks.

I've chosen Stylish at the Beach for my card.  I've coloured the image with Copics and then used a Spellbinders die to frame her.

My papers are from the Ciao Bella Delta paper pack.  I've ton the edges, rather than cutting them, and between two of the papers, I've added a strip of Ultimate Crafts lace.

My laser cuts are all 49 and Market, and because the colour suited so well, I've left them raw and uncoloured.  My flowers are also 49 and Market.

I've finished off with a few Carta Bella enamel dots.
