PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #643: 3 OR MORE LAYERS

Good Morning fellow crafters!

Our lovely Kitty has chosen our theme this week.  She'd like you to use
3 OR MORE LAYERS

Up for grabs this week:  2 digi images from

I have used sweet Little Elephant on my card.

I have coloured the image with Copics, using the following colours:

Ellie's Grey: N5; N4; N3; N2; N1; N0
Eyebrows: N2; N1; N0
Ellie's Pink: R85; R83; R81; RV000; RV0000
Ellie's Nails: N10; N8; N6
Yellow: E15; Y17; Y13; Y11
Purple: V09; V04; V01; V000
Green: YG67; YG63; YG61
Water: BG07; BG05; BG02; BG01; BG000
Sky: BG000

I found that my colours bled a little - particularly the grey into the pink areas, so I've gone over the offending sections with a white pencil, and also used it to highlight edges.

I've used a Creative Dies wonky stitches circle die to cut out the image, a Creative Expressions die for the shaped panel, and a Joy! Crafts die for the heart banner.

My papers are from the Paper Boutique Beverley Eden paper pack, and the sentiment is from the Paper Boutique Springtime Meadows collection.

I've added a strip of cheesecloth behind the shaped panel, and a strip of lace behind the image panel.  My flowers are I Am Roses, and I've also added a few Simple Stories enamel dots.

Thanks for popping in to see mine!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #513: EMBELLISHMENTS

Good Morning lovely crafters!

We're adding EMBELLISHMENTS to our projects at The Paper Shelter this week, and I thought it was another great opportunity to knock a Christmas card off my list.

I've used Here We Go! on my card.  I've coloured the image with Copics.

My lovely snowflake paper and the Merry Christmas sentiment are from the Dovecraft Christmas Decoupage & Paper Pad.  I've added Offray glitter ribbon across the centre and for a bow.

My embellishments on this card are Docrafts Papermania glitter dots, and Jolee's snowflakes.  I've also added a PhotoPlay (Ho Ho Ho) puffy sticker.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks so much for popping in for a look!

Our theme for this one is SPOTS AND/OR STRIPES

I have been making a list of my images appropriate for male cards, because it's actually quite hard wading through all my images, when I need to make a male card.

I've chosen one by Hetty Clare for this one.  The image is called Lazy Hammock Day.  I have coloured the image with Copics and drawn in the two trees, to hold up the hammock.

My papers are from the Maja Design Denim & Friends paper pack.  I've added a strip of burlap and a few Echo Park enamel dots.

I wanted to keep this one flat and easy to slide into an envelope for posting, so I kept the burlap within the card borders and didn't add any dimensional embellishments.

Be sure to pop over to the blog if you need a bit more inspiration, and be sure to get your entry in for this one!

Thanks for popping over to have a look!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #511: SHAPED CARD

Good Morning lovely crafters!

This week at The Paper Shelter, we're making
SHAPED CARDS

I thought it would be a good opportunity to make a Christmas card, and decided to make it in the shape of a Christmas tree.

I've chosen a Christmas tree from the Silhouette range.  I tried sending it to my cutter after it was printed, but the registration marks wouldn't line up properly, so I reprinted and cut the tree out by hand.  I then used the shape of the tree, doubled up and flipped one, then welded them together, to cut my base card shape.

I chose Checking It Twice, and coloured the image with Copics, then cut that out by hand too.  The image is mounted to the tree with puffy pads.

Lastly, I added a puffy sticker sentiment by Echo Park.
