DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS SO SQUIRRELY 2

This month we're showing off animal images at Digi Doodle Studios, and I've decided to use the So Squirrely Pairables set for the month.

These sets are packed full of adorable images, scene builder images and sentiments.

For this card I used the peeking squirrel image and an acorn from the set.  I imported the images into Silhouette Studio and welded them to a Silhouette phrase to cut the white backing to include the images.  I then printed the images as normal, coloured them with Copics and cut them out with a blade.  They've then been mounted on puffy pads.

I added a sheer ribbon bow and a few Simple Stories enamel dots.  My flowers are from I Am Roses.

We have lots of inspiration to share in our Facebook Group, so be sure to join us there!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #466: PUNCHES AND/OR DIES

 Good Morning crafters!

This week at The Paper Shelter we'd like you to use
PUNCHES &/OR DIES
to your creation

This beautiful image is called Where're We Going.  I have coloured the image with Copics and drawn in a bit of a background for her.  I've then used a wonky stitches rectangle die by Creative Dies to cut her out.

My papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses paper pack.  It's an oldie by an oh-so goodie!

The leaf swirls are Creative Expressions die cuts.  I've added KaiserCraft flowers and Sweet Huni Designs dots.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in to see my card today!

CUTE AS A BUTTON IS IT FRIDAY YET?

Welcome to my Cute As A Button inspiration post for the month!

This is one of the images I have had in my stash for a very long time, and I had such fun colouring her up. The image is called Is It Friday Yet?  I have coloured it with Copics and then used a My Favourite Things stencil and Distress Ink to create her brick wall background.

My papers are from a brand new Prima paper pack, called Watercolor Floral.  I originally chose a pink paper from the pack to go directly behind the image, but the shade of pink didn't match her cup, so I swapped it out for the one you see.

Along with my new paper pack, I received a stash of new Prima flowers, which I also used for this card.  The banner at the top and the clock are from the Ephemera pack that came with the set too.  What I love about the clock is that it doesn't have hands!  I had intended to add hands myself, but I actually loved that the 'timeless' nature of the clock suited the theme of the image so well.  Will her day ever end???

My sentiment came from a freebie stamp set from a craft magazine.

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS SO SQUIRRELY 1

For the month of April, we are showing off all our animal images at Digi Doodle Studios.  I've decided to work with the So Squirrely Pairables set this month.  This is full of adorable squirrel images, sentiments and scene builders.

I've used one of the sweet squirrel images and an acorn image from the set for this card, as well as one of the sentiment.

I've coloured the image with Copics and used a Poppy Crafts stitched circle die to cut it out, and another die from the set to cut out the sentiment.

My papers are from the FabScraps Lavender breeze paper collection.  I've added a strip of Birch lace and Green Tara flowers.

We have lots of inspiration to share in our Facebook Group, so be sure to join us there!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE # 464: ADD A SENTIMENT

 Good Morning crafters!

This week  at The Paper Shelter we'd like you to
ADD A SENTIMENT
to your creation

This beautiful image is called Wearing Spring.  I have coloured the image with Copics and used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.

My sentiment is a freebie stamp from a craft magazine, and I've used another Spellbinders die to cut it out.

My papers are from the Ultimate Crafts Rambling Rose paper pack.  I've added a ribbon from my stash and a few Sweet Huni Designs enamel dots.

The beautiful butterfly embellishment has a story!  We are busy packing up our house for a big move and in one of my drawers is a package of pretty hair clips that either I, or my daughters have worn to a function, at some stage.  I knew none of us would wear them again, so I added them to our "give away' box in preparation for our move.

Then a few days later, I walked past the box, spotted the hair clips and thought, 'STOP THE PRESSES!  THAT WILL LOOK GORGEOUS ON A CARD!"  So I retrieved them and asked my hubby to separate the embellishments from the clips, threw the clips out and now have a beautiful collection of 'new' embellishments for my cards.
