PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #611: IN THE PINK

Good Morning fellow colourists!

Our lovely Natalie has chosen your theme for the week at Passion for Markers this week, and it's a fun one!

IN THE PINK

Up for grabs this week: 2 digi images from our generous sponsor

I have used a sweet little image called Birdie, and coloured the image with Copics.

My papers are from the Where Wild Roses Grow paper pack from The Paper Tree.  The sentiment is from a freebie set included with a crafting magazine, and I've used a Hobby Craft & Scrap die to cut it out.  There are Echo Park enamel dots in two corners, and I've added Prima flowers.

The girls have put together a beautiful array of inspiration cards this week, so pop over to the blog if you're looking for a few ideas.

Thanks for visiting to see mine!

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS CAMELLIA CLOVER

This will be my last post as part of the Digi Doodle Studios design team.  I have had some changes in my personal life, leaving me with less time to craft, and I've had to restructure my schedule.  I have loved every moment of being on this team.  It has been an honour to showcase Dina's glorious art and wonderful to be part of such a talented team of designers.

Today I'm showcasing Camellia Clover, and giving her an Autumn vibe.

I've gone with a brand new card design for me: A Theatre fold card.

This is the card closed:

As you can see, I didn't quite manage to line up my doors properly.

And from above:

I watched several YouTube video tutorials.  You can find my favourite here: Tutorial Video

Now I must be honest, I made many mistakes along the way, mainly because I had to adapt my card for the fact that my image has a portrait orientation, rather than a landscape orientation.  I had to cut virtually every piece twice, before I managed to get it right.

My paper and the little sentiment tag are from the Echo Park I Love Family collection.  I've added a little pre-made bow from my stash, and Green Tara flowers.

We have lots of inspiration to share in our Facebook Group, so be sure to join us there!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #484: PARTY TIME

Good Morning lovely crafters!

We have a fun theme for you at The Paper Shelter this week.

PARTY TIME!
This could be a birthday or any other celebration that deserves a party.

This fabulous image is called Go-Go Girl.  I coloured the image with Copics and had a marker disaster while I was colouring (see below), which left me with no choice but to fussy cut the image, and lighten her boots with white pencil, where the darker ink wrecked them.  That left me needing to find a new design for the card I had planned.

I've gone with a fun fold this week.  I had to get creative with my paper, because the disco ball centre was actually cut from the sheet I used for all the panels, leaving spaces I had to patch with other bits.  I loved the paper so much, that I decided not to add much to it.  That will also help me keep the card flat, to fit into a standard envelope (rare for me!)

My paper is from the Ciao Bella The Seventies paper pack.  I've added lots of Artwrap glittery stars, and stamped the sentiment directly onto the design paper, using a KaiserCraft stamp.

This is what the card looks like from above:

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in!

PAPER NEST DOLLS SEA WITCH

If villains are your thing, you've got to pop over to the Paper Nest Dolls store to see the new Villain Collection!

This is one of the adorable villains: Sea Witch.  She comes with her two evil eels too.

I have coloured the image with Copics and used a Creative Dies wonky stitches die to cut it out, and the same die for one of the papers.

My papers are from the Studio Light Jenine's Mindful Art Collection paper pack.  My flowers are Green Tara and KaiserCraft.

I've used two dies from a Spellbinders set for the die cuts.

I've added a strip of cheesecloth and two bamboo cord strands, which I've tied off with a little bow.  I've finished off with a few pearls.

You can find more of these cuties in the Paper Nest Dolls Store.

CUTE AS A BUTTON SUCH A TIME AS THIS

Lately I have enjoyed contrasting the colours from my image, with the background card colours, rather than keeping to the colour scheme of one or the other.  I love how the image pops out against the different background.

This gorgeous image is called Such A Time As This.  It comes with a beautiful sentiment, but I decided to use my own for this one.  I have coloured the image with Copics and framed her with a Spellbinders die cut frame.

My papers, flowers, butterfly, strip of lace and sentiment, all come from a brand new 49 and Market paper pack by Katie Pertiet, called Vintage Artistry Colours * Lilac.   I've added an Offray ribbon bow and lots of little pearls to finish off.

If you're looking for a bit more inspiration, you can find our Inspiration Blog here:

We have lots to share in our Facebook and MeWe Groups too:

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #609: THINGS BEGINNING WITH B

Good Morning fellow colourists!

Our lovely Lisa has chosen your theme for the week at Passion for Markers this week.  She'd like to see
THINGS BEGINNING WITH B

Up for grabs this week is one stamp set from those in stock from

My "Bs" for the week are: Birthday; Beer; Bottles

I've used a golden oldie from Sassy Studio Designs, called Lager.  I have coloured the image with Copics.

My papers are from two different paper packs.  The heart paper is from the DCWV The Homeroom Stack, and the other from the docrafts Papermania Capsule Collection.

My sentiment is from a Crafti Potential stamp and die set.  The fabulous beer bottles and caps are Jolee's.  I've also added two Bo Bunny candy dots.

The girls have put together a super array of inspiration cards this week, so if you're battling to think of a B for your card, pop over to the blog for a few ideas.

Thanks for visiting to see mine!
