BIG CHANGES AT PASSION FOR PROMARKERS!

Good morning crafty friends, and a very Happy New Year to you!  

We hope that 2021 brings us all a better and brighter year and things can start to get back to some sort of ‘normal’.  Crafting kept us sane in 2020 and I’m sure it will continue to give us hope and stability again this year. 

I have some exciting news regarding the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog.  We have decided from the first challenge on 5th January 2021 we will be opening our challenges to ALL types of markers.  We of course still love our Promarkers but we have to move with the times and we know lots of crafters love their Copics, Spectrum Noirs, Zig markers, Karin markers and lots more so whatever type of marker you use you will be welcome at our challenges from January 2021.  

To make our challenge more visible we are going to update and refresh our name to ‘Passion for Markers’ and will have a new blog header and badges, designed by our lovely Lisa.  We can’t wait for you to see them.  Nothing else will change, the challenges will still be every Tuesday morning at 9am, the design team will continue to make amazing creations to inspire you each week, our generous sponsors are still supporting our challenges with their fantastic prizes and we will remain a friendly, happy part of blogland to brighten your world each week.  

We hope you will continue to support our challenges as you did in 2020.  We want to spread the word of the changes to our challenge so we would love it if you pop over to Facebook and share the original post from the challenge blog.  As a thank you we will be putting all the names of everyone who shares the post into a hat and the lucky winner will win a £10 voucher to whichever craft store they wish (or if you prefer a 10€ or $10 to a craft store in Europe/US).  You must share the original post on the Passion for Promarkers Facebook page (this will change to Passion for Markers very soon).

I have used the following Pro & Brush markers to colour the image:

Skin: Spice; Coral; Oatmeal; Blush

Hair & Sand: Burnt Sienna; Cinnamon; Praline

Lips: Cerise; Pale Pink

Pink: Mulberry; Fuchsia Pink; Pink Carnation

Yellow: Pumpkin; Yellow; Lemon

Purple: Purple; Amethyst; Lilac

Blue: Midnight Blue; Cobalt Blue; Denim Blue; Powder Blue

Tree: Pine; Forst Green; Apple

Grass: Green; Mint Green; Pastel Green

Tyres: Warm Greys 3 - 5

Silver: Cool Greys 1 & 2

White: Warm Greys 1 - 3

My papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Merry and Bright Collection.  I've added 3 KaiserCraft laser cuts, sprayed with white Gesso; a Dress It Up birdie button and a few pearls.  The berries on the laser cut were done with Liquid Pearls.

I have used a super cute image called Rudy.

I've used the following Pro & Brush markers to colour the image:

Hooves: Warm Greys 3 - 5

Blue: Cadet Blue; Cloud Blue

Red: Crimson; Berry Red; Lipstick Red

My papers are from the Maja Design Christmas Season paper pack.  I've distressed and inked all the edges.  

I've added 3 KaiserCraft laser cut embellishments and a few Bo Bunny gem swirls.  There's also a strip of cheesecloth between the paper layers.

My tag was cut using a Creative Dies tag die.  The sentiment is an Apple Blossom stamp, and I've used a Tim Holtz ribbon on the tag.

I've used one of the adorable Christmas Cats from Glimps.  This particular image is called Cat's Gift, but I couldn't find it available as an individual image anymore.

I've used the following Pro & Brush Markers to colour this image:

Nose: Cerise; Pale Pink

Eyes: Pebble Blue

Gift: Pumpkin; Sunflower; Yellow

My pink papers are from the DCWV Magical Holidays paper pack, and the grey dotty paper and sentiment are from the DCWV Blue Noel paper pack.

I've added an Offray sparkly wispy ribbon and added an Echo Park brad to hold the bow.  The tree and bauble are Festv embellishments, and the metallic droplets are Tim Holtz.
