Good Morning lovely crafters!
Our theme at The Paper Shelter this week is
THIS BEAUTIFUL EARTH
What we're looking for is... ANYTHING RELATED TO NATURE, plants, flowers, trees, etc.
The Paper Shelter has stunning floral images, so I decided to use two of them this week, to make two bookmarks. Many years ago, I gave away handmade bookmarks as gifts, and my sister-in-law recently asked if I could make a few more, since her last one has. now done its time, and is looking a little tattered.
I've cropped the images down to fit my size, with as much image showing as possible. I've then framed them, duplicated and flipped the images - so that I have a reversed image on the back, and added a strip of lace between the two sides, before sticking them to each other. The tassel lace is Birch Creative, and the other is Simplicity. I then inked all the edges.
I intended to laminate the bookmarks, but I couldn't figure out how to do it with the lace strip in tact, and I was running out of time, so I've left them raw.
Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize! Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand. You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.
Thanks for popping in!
