PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #759: MALE

Good Morning crafty friends!

Our theme this week is
MALE

And up for grabs is a super prize from our sponsor

I've used a fun image called Ryder.  I've coloured the image with Copics.

Now, I wanted to go with a fun fold this week, but also keep my card super simple, so that I could post it off in a flat envelope.

I've used papers from the Ciao Bella Hipster paper pack.  I played around with loads of embellishments, but with odd areas and needing to eep it flat, I eventually decided to just add my sentiments, and leave it at that.

The girls have fabulous inspiration on the blog for you this week, so be sure to pop over for a look.

Thanks for coming to see mine.

Linda

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #749: CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Good Morning colourists!

This week our theme is one that I NEED, because life is so busy that I run out of time to get all my Christmas cards done in time.  Our theme for the week:
CHRISTMAS IN JULY

And we're sponsored by

who will be awarding our lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice.

I've chosen Pressie Time for my card.

I've coloured the image using Copics and used a Poppy Crafts die to cut it out.

My paper is from the docrafts Christmas with Wellington paper pack.  I've added a strip of lace from my stash, Bo Bunny buttons and a little Echo Park sentiment tag.

Be sure to pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the team have created to inspire you this week.

Thanks for visiting!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #743: ANIMALS

Good Morning friends!

Our theme at Passion for Markers this week is:
ANIMALS

Up for grabs we have 3 digi images to give away, from our generous sponsor

The adorable image I've chosen to use this week is called Party Animal.

I've coloured the image with Copics and used a Studio Light stencil and Distress Inks for the background. I've then used a Creative Dies die to cut it out.

My papers are from the Echo Park Play All Day Boy paper pack.  I've used a suede ribbon to criss-cross the card, and a Spellbinders die for the sentiment.

We're hoping you'll join in with our fun challenge this week, and grab your chance to win this super prize!

Thanks for popping in today!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #730: SHAPED CARD

We have a fun new challenge ready to go on the blog this week, and our lovely Kitty has chosen your theme.  She'd like to see SHAPED CARDS this week.

Up for grabs, we have 3 digi images from our generous sponsor

I've been having lots of fun colouring flowers recently, so I chose Tulips for my card.

I created the background card on my Cameo which also allowed me to cut my papers perfectly.  My papers are from the Poppy Crafts Purple Brilliance paper pack.

I've coloured the image with Copics and used a Poppy Crafts die to cut it out.  The sentiment is a Creative Expressions stamp.  All I've added to the card are 3 little American Crafts pearls.

Circles are definitely an easy way to produce a shaped card, but there are so many great ideas available, especially if you're using a Cricut or Cameo to cut them out for you.  For more ideas, be sure to check our what the rest of the team have created this week.

Thanks for visiting today!

YOUR SCRAPBOOK PLACE SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE: ANYTHING GOES

I have the honour of Guest Designing for Your Scrapbook Place this month, and as such, had the opportunity to work with one of the images from our generous sponsor Sheepski Designs.

The image is called Mini Vases.

I have coloured the image with Copics, then distressed the edges, along with my paper edges, and inked them with Distress Ink.

My paper is from the Ciao Bella Broccato Estense paper pack.  Other than my sentiment, the only thing I've added is a bow, with ribbon from my stash.

Be sure to pop over to Your Scrapbook Place to see what the usual team have created this month.

Sending a big THANK YOU to Claudia and the team, for letting me play along with them this month.

Thanks for popping in!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #680: ANIMALS

Our lovely Kitty has chosen our theme at Passion for Markers this week:

ANIMALS

Our generous sponsor

is offering 3 Digi images to our lucky winner this week.

I have used cute Augie on my card, and coloured him with Copics.

I used the following colours:

Fur: E44; E43; E42; E41
Ears: V93; V91
Eyes: E29; E27; E25; E23
Nose: T7; T5; T3

I used rubbing alcohol (surgical spirits) and a facecloth to achieve the mottled look of his fur, after I'd coloured him.

My papers are from the Asuka Studio Dusty Blue Floral paper pack.  I've torn a few of the edges by hand, then distressed and inked all the edges.

I've tucked two strips of lace behind paper layers.  One from my stash, the other 49 and Market.  Angie was then mounted onto puffy pads.

My flowers are 49 and Market.  I've also added in a Little Birdie laser cut chipboard swirl and a few Echo Park enamel dots.

There are wonderful inspiration projects to see on the challenge blog, so be sure to pop over for a look.

Thanks for being here to see mine!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #657: A NIGHT ON THE TOWN

Good Morning crafty friends!

There was a lot of confusion among the girls when I suggested the theme for this week:
A NIGHT ON THE TOWN

so I also provided a photo inspiration to get the message across, which you can find on the challenge blog. Whether it's the city lights, the couple out celebrating together, dancing the night away, drinking cocktails, or just dressing up for a night out, I'd like to see what A NIGHT ON THE TOWN looks like for you.

Up for grabs this week: 3 digi images from our generous sponsor

I have used one of the gorgeous images from our sponsor, called Alana.  She is so elegant and stylish!

I have coloured the image with Copics, using the following colours:

Skin: E04; E11; E21; E00; E000; R20
Lips: RV55
Hair: E29; E27; E25; E23; E21
Dress: V09; V06; V05; V01

I've used a sheet from the Reminisce City Lights Kit behind the image.  I wish I'd placed her on the left rather than on the right, because the fireworks behind her head make her look a little like the Statue of Liberty.  Anyway...

I have cut the image out with blade and mounted her with puffy pads.

The sentiment and champagne glass are die cuts from a magazine freebie set called Let's Celebrate.  I've used Liquid Pearls for the popping bubbles above the glass.  There actually is a die for those, included in the set, but I didn't feel like sticking each little one down individually. (LAZY!)  The die cuts and frame are cut from the Hunkydory Marvellous Mirri Pads Pretty Pastels paper pack.

I've added a few Prima Say it in Crystals dots and flowers by Studio Light and I Am Roses.

I took extra pictures of the die cuts, because they're shiny, but it only shows in pics that are taken at an angle:

The team have created a stunning showcase of images for this week's theme, so be sure to pop over for a look.

Thanks for having a look at mine!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #634: IN THE GARDEN

Good Morning fellow crafters!

Our lovely Lisa has chosen your theme this week.  She'd like to see something
IN THE GARDEN
This doesn't necessarily need to be about flowers or plants, but rather anything you'd find in the garden (garden tools, butterflies, garden gnomes, etc)

We have one of my favourite sponsors offering 3 digis to our winner this week

I have used a gorgeous floral image called Peonies.  I have coloured the image with Copics, using the following colours:

Pink: RV69; RV19; RV55; RV52; RV000
Yellow: E15; YR15; Y35; Y32
Green: YG97; YG17; YG03; YG0000
Background: BG000

I decided to go with a Clean & Simple design for this card, so that the image would POP off the page.

I used a pair of Kaisercraft dies to frame the image, and a Creative Expressions die for the sentiment.  I decided to cut the sentiment from white cardstock, and then colour it myself, to match the image.  I used RV55.

I backed the image with an embossed panel, and added a few Echo Park enamel dots.

Be sure to pop past the blog to see what the girls have created to inspire you this week.

Thanks for popping in to see mine!
