STRETCHY OSTRICH

The ostrich is a common bird in certain parts of South Africa, and so I thought this image would make for a fun card for my brother-in-law in South Africa.

The image is by Crissy Armstrong and is called Stretchy Ostrich.

I have coloured the image with Copics.

I began putting this card together with green papers, and then slowly swapped each one out with black and white, until they were all gone.  I'm pretty happy with the end result, because the image pops out now.

My papers are from an old Bo Bunny paper pack called Enchanted, and the sentiments are from a set of magazine freebie stamps.  I've added some bamboo string.

Thanks for popping in for a look today!

PET LOVERS CHRISTMAS CARD 2019 9

This is the 9th in a series of mini Christmas cards I am making for pet lovers.  I try to keep them as simple and low cost as possible.

This adorable doubled up image is from Whimsy Stamps.  It's part of a trio called Meowy Kitty-mas. I have coloured the image with markers, to look as much like the fur babies belonging to the recipient, as possible.

My paper is from the DCWV O Christmas Tree paper pack.  I've added a Tim Holtz metal sentiment band and threaded a ribbon through it.  I've also added two KaiserCraft wooden embellishments and one Echo Park enamel dot.

Thanks so much for popping in for a look today!

PET LOVERS CHRISTMAS CARDS 2019 7 & 8

I'm popping these 2 cards on together, because they're virtually the same card.  They are the 7th and 8th in a series of Christmas cards I am making for pet lovers.  I try to keep this series of cards as simple and low cost as possible, and I try to get the pets to look as similar to those the recipients' love as possible.

These two cards are going to two families with kitties missing a leg.  Blue kitty is missing his left front leg, and pink kitty is missing her right back leg.  For pink kitty I just had to flip the image because only one of the back legs are showing anyway.  For blue kitty I had to erase the missing leg and draw in the lines to take up the space.

I've used one of an adorable trio from Whimsy Stamps, called Meowy Kitty-mas, and coloured the images with markers.

My papers and sentiments are from the A Whisper of Winter paper pack by The Paper Boutique.  The wreaths are Festv craft stickers and the enamel dots are Echo Park.

GET WELL SOON PENGUIN RAY!

We all know someone who has had to undergo chemotherapy, so this terribly sad, but beautiful image by Crissy Armstrong, will unfortunately be used more than once by most of us.  It's from Whimsy Stamps, and it's called Penguin Ray.  There's an equally sad and beautiful story attached to the image, which you can read here.

I have coloured the image with markers.  My paper is W&M.  The medical goodies are Jolee's.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a look!

PET LOVERS CHRISTMAS 2018 20

This is the 20th in a series of Christmas cards I am making for pet lovers.

For this card I doubled up an adorable kitty digi from Whimsy Stamps, called Scruffy Cat.  I have coloured them with markers, to match the recipient's kitties, and added a little background for them.  I've used a Poppy Crafts stitched die to cut them out and for the paper behind them.

My papers and sentiment are from the PhotoPlay Frosty Friends pack.  The Christmas lights are buttons from Buttons Galore & More
