PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE #460

This week we're showcasing a lovely set of Christmas images from our sponsor

I have used Santa's Pup on my card.

This card is half the size of the cards I usually make.  It's going to form part of a series of cards I make every year for pet lovers.  I try to keep them as simple and low cost as possible.

I've coloured the image with markers and used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.  I've added teeny pearls to the die cut frame.

My paper and sentiment banner are from the Photo Play The Muttcracker collection.  I've added a ribbon and bow plus two Dress It Up buttons.

You can see more from the team by clicking on the challenge banner or more from our sponsor, by clicking on their logo above.

Thanks for popping in for a look today!

COLLABORATION HOLIDAY BLOG HOP

Are you ready for Christmas??

The digital stamps at Paper Nest Dolls and Digi Doodle Studios are PERFECT for those last minute cards and they have teamed up for the first time for a fabulous Holiday Hop!

Hop along for new ideas on how to combine our two companies' adorable images.  There are GIVEAWAYS, SALES, DISCOUNT CODES and a CHALLENGE with loads of prizes along the way!

You can find all the details here:

Welcome to the first stop on the BLOG HOP!

I've chosen a sweet character from Paper Nest Dolls, called Holiday Baking Avery, and joined her with an adorable gingerbread character from Digi Doodle Studios, called Jacks Ginger Cookie Baker.  I needed a gingerbread boy AND a gingerbread girl, so I've used the image twice, and flipped one to face the other way, then coloured one to be a girl and one to be a boy.

I've coloured the blended image with markers and used a Creative Dies wonky stitches die to cut it out, and another one to cut out the sentiment.  I then used a Poppy Crafts die to cut the frame around the sentiment.  The sentiment itself is a craft magazine freebie, and I thought, perfect for this card!

My papers are from the DCWV Mrs. Claus' Kitchen paper pack.  All the little cookie cutters and other goodies are Dress It Up buttons.  I've also added a little pre-made bow.  The beautiful centre strip of hessian and lace was originally a band around a jar which contained a candle - one of the pretty decorations at my daughter's wedding.  EVERYTHING can be repurposed for a card, right!

Be sure to leave your unique comment for an opportunity win one of our fantastic prizes.

From here you're heading over to Meghan.

Have fun!!

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS PENGUINS LOTTIE & TILLIE

There's only time for a few more Christmas creations before the big day!  This one is all about CUTENESS for me!

The image is called Penguins Lottie & Tillie.  Aren't they just the cutest!

I have coloured the image with markers and used a KaiserCraft circle die to cut it out.  Behind the image circle is a die cut snowflake circle by Find IT Media.

My paper is from the DCWV Winter Wonder paper pack.  The sentiment is an Apple Blossom stamp, and I've used a Poppy Crafts die to cut it out.

The tree is a Scrapaholics chipboard laser cut, and the snowflake is wood.  I've sprayed both with white Gesso.  I've added a few little pearls, and white flowers.  The flowers are a mix of Blossoms by Vivaldi and American Crafts.

If you're after a bit more cuteness inspiration, be sure to join us in our Facebook group, where we're showcasing these adorable images from Digi Doodle Studios all month long!

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS SLUSHY SNOWBOARDER

This utterly adorable image is one of the new Winter Critters at Digi Doodle Studios.  It's called Slushy Snowboarder.

I've decided to make a wintry birthday card with her.  I've coloured her with markers and used a set of Poppy Crafts dies to cut out the image, the sentiment and one of the papers.

My papers are from the DCWV Magical Holidays paper pack.  They have beautiful holographic effects.

My flowers are a mix of Green Tara and Little Birdie.  I've also added a little button from my stash.

There are several cuties in this new collection, so be sure to pop over for a look, and look out for them in our Facebook group too.

PET LOVERS CHRISTMAS CARD 2019 9

This is the 9th in a series of mini Christmas cards I am making for pet lovers.  I try to keep them as simple and low cost as possible.

This adorable doubled up image is from Whimsy Stamps.  It's part of a trio called Meowy Kitty-mas. I have coloured the image with markers, to look as much like the fur babies belonging to the recipient, as possible.

My paper is from the DCWV O Christmas Tree paper pack.  I've added a Tim Holtz metal sentiment band and threaded a ribbon through it.  I've also added two KaiserCraft wooden embellishments and one Echo Park enamel dot.

PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE #459

We have two fantastic sponsors offering up prizes this week:

and

I have used an image from All Dressed Up Stamps, called Summer Hols.  I've split the 3 girls up and coloured them with markers, then used a Poppy Crafts die to cut them out, and a smaller die from the set to cut out the sentiment, which I typed up.  My thought was that each girl could represent a day in the life of one person, rather than be 3 separate characters.

My papers are from the DCWV Floral Paradise paper pack.  I've added pretty hassled lace by Birch and a Poppy Crafts die cut doily.

My flowers are 49 and Market and Prima.  I've added a few pearls and one Echo Park enamel dot.

The team have put together a beautiful set of cards this week, so be sure to pop back to the challenge blog to have a look, or head over to our sponsors for a bit of shopping (or planning), by clicking on their logos above.

Hope you have a wonderful crafty week!
