THE PAPER SHELTER BLOG HOP 2023: CELEBRATIONS

 Good Morning lovely crafters!

Welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop, in celebration of The Paper Shelter's 13th Birthday on the 8th of December!  This will be a two week challenge, with both teams taking part, and it's our way of thanking The Paper Shelter for sharing their wonderful images with us, and sponsoring our challenge.

The theme for this special challenge is:

CELEBRATIONS

This is your first stop on the Hop!  If you get lost along the way, then you'll want to pop back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, because you don't want to miss out on this one.  Both Design Teams are participating, showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter, and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice, as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.

I decided to go with a male themed card for the Hop, because The Paper Shelter has a wonderful selection of male images for that special guy in your life.  I've used Workout Time! on my card.

I've coloured the image with Copics and used a My Favorite Things stencil and Distress Inks for the wall behind him.

My papers are from the DCWV The Guy Stack paper pack.  I've added Jolee's stickers for all the exercise embellishments.

From here, you will need to hop on over to Lena's blog.  Don't forget to leave your comment before you go, for an opportunity to win your choice of one of the fabulous digis available in store!

Good Luck!  Hope you find lots of inspiration on the Hop!

When I first saw this image, I knew immediately what I wanted to do with her.  She's actually a Halloween image, called Halloween Casual, but I have removed anything Halloween related, so that I could use her for a birthday card.

I have coloured the image with Copics and used a My Favourite Things stencil and Distress Ink for the background.

My papers are from the Stamperia Hortensia paper pack.  The sentiment is cut from a Fine It Trading die.
I've added a strip of lace and I Am Roses flowers, plus a few Fancy Pants Designs puffy dots.

From here, you will need to hop on over to Christine's blog.  Don't forget to leave your comment for an opportunity to win your choice of one of the fabulous digis available in store!

I have chosen one of the adorable older images in The Paper Shelter's store.  The image is called Happy Birthday to Me!

I have coloured the image with Copics and used a Tim Holtz stencil and Distress Ink to create the background for the image.  I've then used a Creative Dies wonky stitches die to cut it out, and another for the tag.

The sentiment on the tag is an Ultimate Crafts stamp.

My papers are from the Stamperia Little Girl paper pack.  I've added a strip of Simplicity lace and Echo Park enamel dots.  The balloons were cut using a set of Creative Expressions dies.

THE PAPER SHELTER 2020 BLOG HOP!

 Good Morning lovely crafters!

Welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop, in celebration of The Paper Shelter's 10th Birthday on the 8th of December!  This will be a two week challenge, with both teams taking part.

The Hop is our way of inviting you to celebrate with us, and the theme for the challenge is:

A SPECIAL CELEBRATION

And this one is a biggie!

If you've arrived here from Anet's blog, then you're heading in the right direction!  If not, then you'll want to pop back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, because you don't want to miss out on this one.  Both Design Teams have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter, and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice, as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.

Appropriately, I have used Happy Birthday on my card.

I have coloured the image with markers and used a freebie brick stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Ink to create the brick wall behind her.  I've then used a Poppy Crafts die to cut her out.

My papers are from the Bo Bunny Summer Mood paper pack.  I've used a Poppy Crafts die to cut the top 2 out.  I've also used a Poppy Crafts die for the number tag.  The numbers themselves are American Crafts  foam.

Next, I used a set of Creative Expression dies for the balloons and an Apple Blossom die for the butterfly heart, which is mostly behind the flowers.  The largest of my flowers is Prima.  The rest are just from my stash.  Lastly, I've added an Offray ribbon and tied it off with a bow.

From here, you will need to hop on over to Marie's blog.  Don't forget to leave your comment for an opportunity to win your choice of one of the fabulous digis available in store!

COLLABORATION HOLIDAY BLOG HOP

Are you ready for Christmas??

The digital stamps at Paper Nest Dolls and Digi Doodle Studios are PERFECT for those last minute cards and they have teamed up for the first time for a fabulous Holiday Hop!

Hop along for new ideas on how to combine our two companies' adorable images.  There are GIVEAWAYS, SALES, DISCOUNT CODES and a CHALLENGE with loads of prizes along the way!

You can find all the details here:

Welcome to the first stop on the BLOG HOP!

I've chosen a sweet character from Paper Nest Dolls, called Holiday Baking Avery, and joined her with an adorable gingerbread character from Digi Doodle Studios, called Jacks Ginger Cookie Baker.  I needed a gingerbread boy AND a gingerbread girl, so I've used the image twice, and flipped one to face the other way, then coloured one to be a girl and one to be a boy.

I've coloured the blended image with markers and used a Creative Dies wonky stitches die to cut it out, and another one to cut out the sentiment.  I then used a Poppy Crafts die to cut the frame around the sentiment.  The sentiment itself is a craft magazine freebie, and I thought, perfect for this card!

My papers are from the DCWV Mrs. Claus' Kitchen paper pack.  All the little cookie cutters and other goodies are Dress It Up buttons.  I've also added a little pre-made bow.  The beautiful centre strip of hessian and lace was originally a band around a jar which contained a candle - one of the pretty decorations at my daughter's wedding.  EVERYTHING can be repurposed for a card, right!

Be sure to leave your unique comment for an opportunity win one of our fantastic prizes.

From here you're heading over to Meghan.

Have fun!!

Linda

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Arty Divas Challenge #10: Anything Goes

THE PAPER SHELTER 2019 BLOG HOP!

Good Morning crafters!

Welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop, in celebration of The Paper Shelter's 9th birthday on the 8th of December!  This will be a two week challenge, and both Design Teams will be taking part.

The hop is our way of inviting you to celebrate with us and our theme for the challenge is

BIRTHDAY / CELEBRATIONS

which I know is extremely popular!

If you've arrived here from Anet's blog, then you're heading in the right direction!  If not, then you'll want to head back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, as you don't want to miss out on this one.  Both Design Teams have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter, and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice, as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.

I fell in love with this image the moment I saw it!  I specifically wanted to colour her up as a bit of a country girl, with a floppy hat, so I've cropped off her pointy witch's hat and cropped off her cauldron, and BAM! She's just a sweet girl in a floppy hat!  The image is called Cute Witch.  I have coloured it with markers and cut it out with a blade, then mounted it onto the card with puffy pads.

My paper is from the Stamperia Old Lace paper pack.  I've distressed the edges of the page.

My flowers are a mix of 49 and Market and Prima.  I've used 2 dies for my card: the doily frame is Die'sire, and the sentiment is Find It Trading.  I've used a laser cut chipboard corner by Celebr8, and added a few pearls.

From here you will need to hop on over to Marie's blog.  Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance to win your choice of one of the fab digis available in store.

Hop!  Hop!  Hop!

Good Luck!  Hope you've enjoyed the hop so far!

I hope you enjoyed the blog hop!  Thank you so much to everyone who shared in the celebrations with us, and a special thank you to everyone who left a comment on my post.

This was the first Blog Hop I participated in as a Design Team member, and I must be honest, I found it incredibly difficult to settle for only one comment winner ☹️.  I truly wish that each and every one of you could be honoured and win an image.  Alas... I can only award one winner, and my chosen winner is...

Congratulations Lillian!!!  You'll find all your instructions on the challenge blog.  Thank you so much for your visit and the lovely comment you left on my post!
