COLLABORATION HOLIDAY BLOG HOP

Are you ready for Christmas??

The digital stamps at Paper Nest Dolls and Digi Doodle Studios are PERFECT for those last minute cards and they have teamed up for the first time for a fabulous Holiday Hop!

Hop along for new ideas on how to combine our two companies' adorable images.  There are GIVEAWAYS, SALES, DISCOUNT CODES and a CHALLENGE with loads of prizes along the way!

You can find all the details here:

Welcome to the first stop on the BLOG HOP!

I've chosen a sweet character from Paper Nest Dolls, called Holiday Baking Avery, and joined her with an adorable gingerbread character from Digi Doodle Studios, called Jacks Ginger Cookie Baker.  I needed a gingerbread boy AND a gingerbread girl, so I've used the image twice, and flipped one to face the other way, then coloured one to be a girl and one to be a boy.

I've coloured the blended image with markers and used a Creative Dies wonky stitches die to cut it out, and another one to cut out the sentiment.  I then used a Poppy Crafts die to cut the frame around the sentiment.  The sentiment itself is a craft magazine freebie, and I thought, perfect for this card!

My papers are from the DCWV Mrs. Claus' Kitchen paper pack.  All the little cookie cutters and other goodies are Dress It Up buttons.  I've also added a little pre-made bow.  The beautiful centre strip of hessian and lace was originally a band around a jar which contained a candle - one of the pretty decorations at my daughter's wedding.  EVERYTHING can be repurposed for a card, right!

Be sure to leave your unique comment for an opportunity win one of our fantastic prizes.

From here you're heading over to Meghan.

Have fun!!

Linda

  12. Apparently, it's not always true that "the best are saved till last". Linda, your card is an over-the-top, cute kitchen scene. How perfect in detail and coloring - please tell me your talent can be rubbed off on me. Thanks for outlining the details on how this all came together - flipping the gingerbread to face each other worked perfectly, and the buttons are the perfect complement. Whoever's the recipient of this work of art, ought to treasure it forever. Merry Christmas!
