CONIE FONG'S JUST LIKE DADDY

For the months of January and February, I have the honour of guest designing for Conie Fong Art.  This is my first project as Guest Designer.

The image is called Just Like Daddy.  Gosh he's cute!!

I have coloured the image with markers and inked the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

My papers are from the DCWV The White Ginger Stack.  I've used a Tim Holtz tag die for the sentiments.  The sentiments themselves are both freebie stamps from craft magazines.

I've used two strips of lazer cut stitching by The Dusty Attic.  At first I sprayed two lines of stitching with white Gesso, but they seemed to get lost on the card, so I used two new strips raw, without any added colour.

The skateboarding goodies are Jolee's.

I'll be back with more from this fantastic artist later in the month!

Thanks for popping in for a look today!

PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE #462

Good Morning lovely paper crafters!

Welcome to our first challenge of 2020!

Pattie's Creations is kicking us off this year, giving our lucky winner 3 digi images!

I've used Seahorse Love on my card.  I've coloured the sweet image with markers and used a Poppy Crafts stitched heart die to cut it out.

My papers are from the Little Birdie Pretty Pastels paper pack.

I've used one sheet of cheesecloth between the two papers and added a strip of Birch lace.  My flowers are a mix of Tim Holtz, Blossoms by Vivaldi, Celebr8, and Little Birdie.  I've then used KaiserCraft pearl strings in various places around the flowers.

For a little more inspiration, pop over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have created this week.

Thanks so much for popping in for a look!

PAPER NEST DOLLS TOWER PRINCESS

Paper Nest Dolls has a gorgeous collection of princesses and I decided to use Tower Princess for this card.  It's all about that hair!  I couldn't wait to colour it!  I also loved the fact that she's holding a chameleon.  I remember seeing them when I was a child, but haven't seen one for decades!

I've coloured my princess with markers.

My papers are from two different Disney Mega paper packs.  The wonderful castle behind my princess was cut from the Disney® Princess Happily Ever After Cricut cartridge, and I used paper from the 'A Garden in Provence' collection from The Paper Boutique, to cut all the elements.  I've then gone in with my grey markers to add a bit of dimension to the circular towers and peaked roofs.

The clouds were cut from a little set of Joy! Crafts cloud dies, and I used my keys on them too.

The sentiment was a magazine freebie stamp, and I've used a Spellbinders die to cut to it out.  Lastly, I added 4 teeny pearls to the sentiment tag.

There's always lots to see in our Facebook group, so join us there to see more!

DIGI DOODLE STUDIOS JANUARY CHALLENGE: SOMETHING NEW!

Happy New Year everyone!!

We're celebrating everything NEW at Digi Doodle Studios this month, and kicking off the new year with that in mind.  Our theme for January is:

SOMETHING NEW
(New Year; new baby; new home; etc)

I've gone with NEW JOB!

I've used an image called Lisa J At Play.  This image was created with one of our design team ladies in mind, lovely Lisa.  You can read all about the girl behind the image here.

I have coloured the image with markers and used a Tim Holtz stencil with Distress Ink to create the brick wall behind her.

My papers are from the Couture Creations Butterfly Garden paper pack, and the enamel flowers from the Couture Creations Rambling Rose collection.  Only typing this up did I notice that the flowers weren't form the same collection as the paper!  I bought them as a set and thought they belonged to each other.

To add to the 'workplace' feel, I've added a cityscape and clock from KaiserCraft.  The lace is 49 and Market.  The pearl swirls are Want 2 Scrap, and the enamel dots are Pink Fresh Studio.

You can head directly to our challenge, where you can see what the rest of the team are showing off this month, as well as enter your Something New, for an opportunity to win Digi Doodles of your own, here
