We have another super fun challenge starting at Passion for Promarkers today.  Lorraine has chosen your theme, and she would like you to include a number in your project this week.

Normally I would lean toward a child's card for this theme, but my husband's birthday is coming up, and it seemed the perfect opportunity to use this adorable image I bought from Alicia Bel, with him in mind.  It's called With Love, and I have coloured it with the following Promarkers:

Hair: Black; Cool Greys 3-5

Skin: Blush; Sunkissed Pink; Coral; Cinnamon; Pale Pink

Eyes: China Blue; Sky Blue; Lime Green

Red: Burgundy; Cardinal Red; Ruby; Antique Pink

I have fussy cut the image and she's mounted on puffy pads, as are the sentiment and number.  I have cut the number, sentiment and heart swirl on my Cameo.  I have given the hearts on the swirl a bit of dimension with my Burgundy Promarker and white gel pen.

My paper is from one of my oldest and favourite paper packs: DCWV The Glitter Stack.

I have an Oddball Art image to share with you today.  She's called Lexi, and I have coloured her with markers.

My papers are from the Bo Bunny Penny Emporium pack, other than the black with white dots, which is from the Bo Bunny Enchanted pack.

I used a Marianne Design set of dies to cut all the shaped bits.  The little tag is a chipboard sticker.  I've added a little bow, a rose and a Ribtex heart charm to it.  The gem swirls are Bella! Bling, and the flowers are Green Tara.  There's also a strip of black lace.

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #354: SENTIMENTAL

Hi There Everybody!

This week's challenge at The Paper Shelter, is to 

ADD A SENTIMENT 

This beautiful image is called So Sweet, and I have coloured her with markers.  

My papers are from the KaiserCraft Miss Betty pack.  I've used a Tim Holtz Sizzix tag die to cut out two of the papers.  I've also used Poppy Crafts dies for the alarm clock and cup, and a KaiserCraft die for the sentiment.  The sentiment itself is from a freebie clear stamp that came with a craft magazine.  

I've added two strips of lace and a few pearls, as well as flowers by 49 and Market.

As usual, we have a fantastic prize from The Paper Shelter up for grabs!

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY CHALLENGE #152: ANYTHING GOES + FLOWER FRENZY

Hi There Crafters!

I have a bit of mid-month inspiration for you today, and a reminder to get your entry in for a chance to win a great prize.  Our theme is ANYTHING GOES, but if you feel like playing along with our twist for the month, we'd like to see your FLOWER FRENZY!

I have two images to show you today.  Spring Fairy, and Toadstool Thicket.  

This is what Toadstool Thicket looks like on it's own:

I layered the image up 8 times to create a full fairy garden background for my fairy, and then coloured up everything with markers.  I've added a few flowers in the corners.  They're from 49 and Market, and Petaloo.

This adorable image is from Bugaboo.  It's called Snowman Couple.  I have coloured the image with markers and then cut it out with a Creative Dies Wonky Stitches die, layered onto a scalloped circle cut using a KaiserCraft die.  

My paper, tags and sentiment are from the Heartfelt Creations Merry & Bright Collection.  I've used a snowflake eyelet from Eyelet Outlet on the tags.  I've added a strip of lace, flowers from Petaloo and a bit of cheesecloth.  The leaves are a Tim Holtz Sizzix die cut.

My favourite colour is purple and one my favourite combos is purple & black.

This week I got to use a really fun image from our fantastic sponsor.  The image is called A Dunderton Abroad and I've coloured the image with Promarkers.  I also drew in the background for him.

So I decided to make my first Magic Slider Card.  I'm not sure I'll ever attempt another one, as it took me two full days and I'm not entirely thrilled with the results.  Here's the video tutorial I used, if you're interested.  I'm sure my frustration came from deciding I was going to have the slider come out sideways, which meant the longest side of my image.  I ended up having to add two brads to the original eyelet to pull the tag out, to keep the acetate in place.

I also needed to source acetate specifically for use with inkjet printers, which proved to be difficult and expensive!

My paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland collection.  The sentiments are freebie clear stamps that came with a craft magazine.  The travel goodies are Little B.  I've also used a strip of dotted washi tape on the edge of the slider pocket and added some pearls.

Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the image before I added the acetate, so these are all through the acetate.
