PENNY'S PAPER-CRAFTY CHALLENGE #436

We have one of my favourite sponsors this week!  Our winner this week will win a a wonderful prize from

I've used Today God Is First.  The image comes with the sentiment.  I have coloured the image with markers.  Since it's such a detailed image, I decided to print it out as big as I could for my card, as it really doesn't need anything more, does it!

The pink paper is from The Jennifer Ellory Emma's Garden pack.  I've used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment and added 3 little pearls to the corner of the card.

While putting this card together, my daughter called, wondering if I had a 'new job' card available for a friend.  The T.G.I.F. seemed to go perfectly with that theme, so I removed the sentiment and added a new one - a sticker from the Bo Bunny Faith pack.

The team have put together a lovely showcase of our sponsor images this week, as usual, so be sure to pop back to the challenge blog to have a look.  You can also head straight to our sponsor, by clicking on their logo above.

Thanks so much for popping in for a look today!

PASSION FOR PROMARKERS CHALLENGE #499: FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

Good morning folks!

We have a fun new challenge starting today.  Nat has chosen your theme:  She'd like to see your
FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

Up for grabs this week is a 6 pack of Metallic Promarkers from

I've used an adorable image from Di's Digi Stamps called Sitting Knitting.  When my mom visits, we spend hours sitting together on the couch, knitting and watching crime series.  I thought this image was perfect for a card for her.  I have coloured the image with Promarkers.

It's a LONG list, but here they are:

Mice: Ice Greys 1-5; Blossom
Knitting needles: Cool Greys 4; 2; 1
Green yarn: Lush Green; Green; Soft Green; Pastel Green
Blue yarn: Indigo Blue; True Blue; Azure; Sky Blue
Orange yarn: Burnt Orange; Pumpkin; Gold; Saffron
Purple yarn: Slate; Amethyst; Lilac; Bluebell
Pink yarn & label: Maroon; Fuchsia Pink; Pink Carnation; Blossom
Yellow yarn: Spice; Sunflower; Lemon; Primrose
Red yarn: Crimson; Poppy; Red
Floor: Burnt Sienna; Raw Sienna; Sandstone
Background dots: Blossom

My papers are from the DCWV Baby Girl Stack.  One of the pages in this paper pack is of 4 different panels of knitting, and that's what I pulled the pack out for, but the colours were a it off the mark for me.  I paged through and found these two sheets.  The front sheet is a patchwork of different patterns, so I picked the spot on the page that would give me the few I wanted.

I've used a Martha Stewart punch for the edging of the image.  The flowers are Little Birdie.  I've added a few gems around the card to tie in with the gem centres on the flowers.  The bunting is Jenni B and the letters are American Crafts.  I've added two teeny remade bows to the edges of the bunting.  Lastly, I wrote the label by hand.

The team have put together a beautiful assortment of inspiration for you this week, so be sure to pop back for a look!

Thanks so much for visiting!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #388: STRIPES AND/OR DOTS

Good Morning Paper Shelter lovers!

We have a fun new challenge starting today.  Your theme for the week is:
STRIPES AND/OR DOTS

A few weeks ago, my daughter and I were at the mall to do some shopping, and as we parked our car, an elderly gentleman passed by, walking toward his car.  Like so many men in that age group, he was perfectly dressed and groomed, and looked spectacular!  My daughter and I both commented on him, and that we hoped our own husbands would dress that smartly for a mere trip to the mall, when they reached that age.

I have made a stepper card this week, using So Classy!  He is just so distinguished and polished, he reminded me of our attractive gentleman in the carpark, so I decided he was perfect for a birthday card for a grandpa in that age group.

My dots and stripes are from the Dress My Crafts Dots n Stripes pack.  Unfortunately, it's a 6 x 6 paper pack, so there's a join behind the a in 'Gramps', but I'm hoping this particular Gramps won't notice.

I've used two pearl and gems corners and a strip of leather which I twirled along the bottom, tying it off with eyelets, and making a bow with it.  The Classic sentiment is a Clear Impressions stamp, and the other is an Apple Blossom stamp.

I've cut my bold words and the number 80 on my Cameo, using red glitter cardstock.  They and the image have been attached to the card using puffy pads.

We have our usual fantastic prize up for grabs this week!  You can win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your creation (recoloured image, black & white digi, or paper), or 3 digis of your choice if you've used a different brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

This gorgeous image is by Krista Smith.  It's called Focus, and it's part of a set of Girl Power images.

I've added 3 KaiserCraft wooden embellishments, which I coloured with one of my hair combo markers.  I cut the circular embellishment into two separate pieces.
