THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #489: HALLOWEEN

Good Morning lovely crafters!

This week we're celebrating all things spooky!  Your theme for the week is:
HALLOWEEN

I've chosen one of the cutest little Halloween themed images.  She's called Cool Little Witch.

I've coloured the image with Copics and cut her out with a blade.

I've gone with a Z-fold bridge card, to give me some space to mount the image and bats, so that they're 'floating'.

My paper is from the Reminisce Pumpkin Hallow paper pack, and the fun sentiment is a sticker from the Reminisce Spooky Night kit.

I've cut the Happy Halloween and the bats on my Cameo, and mounted the bats and image in strips of thin plastic.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in to see my card!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #615: FLOWER POWER

Good Morning fellow colourists!

Our lovely Karen has picked your theme at Passion for Markers this week, and it's fun one!
FLOWER POWER

Up for grabs this week is 2 digi images from our fabulous sponsor

I've used the king of groovy, Psychedelic Syd on my card.  I have coloured him with Copics and then cut him out with a blade.

I've used the following colours:

Skin: E04; E11; E21; E00; E000 (+R20 on his cheek)
Hair & Guitar: E59 (guitar only); E57; bE55; E53; E50
White: C3; C1; C0
Yellow: YR18; Y19; Y15
Headband; Shoes & Waistcoat: E44; E43; E42; E41
Glasses: N10; N8; N6; N4
Shirt & Earring: RV69; RV66; RV63
Jeans: B99; B97; B95; B93; B91
Guitar Strap & Glasses Arm: YG09; YG06; YG01

As you can see from his toenails, my blues oozed a bit.

My paper is from the Ciao Bella The Seventies paper pack.  The top half and bottom half were paper of the same page, but I cut out the centre piece so that I could have the flowers from the top and the beetle from the bottom.  I've also cut out an extra flower from one of the papers to add a bit of dimension.

This paper is so busy and full of life, that I decided not to add anything else.

The girls have put together a super array of inspiration cards this week, so if you need a little more inspiration, pop over to the blog for a few ideas.

Thanks for visiting to see mine!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #488: DIGITAL IMAGE

Good Morning lovely crafters!

We have a wonderfully easy theme for you at The Paper Shelter this week.

We'd like you to use a
DIGITAL IMAGE

I have been wanting to colour this gorgeous image since she first hit the store.  The image is called Owl Whisperer.  I have coloured the image with Copics and drawn in a bit of a background for her.

My paper is from The Dress My Craft Cherry Blossom paper pack.

For the decorative border, I decided to use the edge of a Spellbinders decorative rectangle die.  I've used a Creative Dies die for the starry wreath, and allowed one edge to overlap the image.

There's strip of cheesecloth behind the image and I've used a hemp cord across the middle.  My flowers are Prima, and the little dots are by The Paper Boutique.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), but don't forget the DIGITAL IMAGE THEME THIS WEEK, or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in to see my card!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #613: MAKE IT CUTE

Good Morning fellow colourists!

Our lovely Elaine has picked your theme at Passion for Markers this week.  She'd like you to
MAKE IT CUTE

Up for grabs this week is 2 digi images from our fabulous sponsor

Now if you're working with an All Dressed Up image, you can't help but make it cute, so this week's theme was an easy one for the team!  I used Dream Catcher on my card.  I coloured the image with Copics, using the following colours:

Skin: E04; E11; E21; E00; E000; R30
Hair & Tree: E57; E55; E53
Headband & Skirt: V28; V25; V22; V20
Shirt & Clouds: C3; C1; C0
Kitty: E37; E34; E30
Hammock: R89; R85; R83; R81
Cherries: R59; R29; R27; R24
Leaves: G46; G43; G40
Dream Catcher: BG49; BG45
Grass & Trees: YG67; YG63; YG61
Sky: B00; B000

My papers for this card come from a Wilson & Maclagan paper pack.  Unfortunately, the W & M packs aren't named.

I've used a Jeanine's Art die for the butterfly ring.  The sentiment is from an Apple Blossom stamp set.  I wasn't happy with the thicker black lines once I'd stamped it, so I used white gel pen to thin it down.

I've added a strip of lace and I Am Roses flowers, plus a few pearls.  I've used a V22 Copic marker to colour the purple edged flowers.

The girls have put together a super array of inspiration cards this week, so if you need a little more cuteness to inspire you this week, pop over to the blog for a few ideas.

Thanks for visiting to see mine!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #486: LAYER IT UP

Good Morning lovely crafters!

We have fun theme for you at The Paper Shelter this week.

LAYER IT UP

I needed to make an Anniversary card this week, and I thought I Love You, Baby! would be perfect!

I have coloured the image with Copics.

My papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Cascading Petals collection.  I've added two Scrapaholics laser cuts, which I've sprayed with white Gesso.  My flowers are from I Am Roses.  I've also added a few Echo Park enamel dots.

SOPHISTICATED DAD

This is such a fantastic male image.  It's called Sophisticated Gentleman, from Kenny K.  I've used the image before.  You can find that post here.

This time I've used the image for a Father's Day card.

I've coloured the image with markers and framed it with a Spellbinders die cut frame.

My papers are from two different paper packs: the plaid from the PhotoPlay Best Dad Ever pack, as is the #1 Dad tag; and the print paper from the Simple Stories Dad paper pack, as is the sentiment running across the top.  The print paper turned out to be such a fantastic find, because my Dad's grandfather came from the town of Peebles in Scotland, and if you look at the bottom left corner of that paper, you'll see Peebles listed.  I cut the piece I needed specifically to show that little bit.

I've used a Bo Bunny glitter brad for the tag.  The wine barrel and goodies are Jenni B.

That's it from me!  Thanks for popping in for a look!

Linda
