THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #509: BIRTHDAY CARD

Good Morning lovely crafters!

We have a lovely, simple theme at The Paper Shelter this week.  We'd like you to make a
BIRTHDAY CARD

I've chosen Skate Girl for my card.  I have coloured the image with Copics and used a blade to cut her out.  She's been mounted to the card with puffy pads.

I saw this fun card design on Pinterest, and thought I just had to make one.  There was a template to follow, but I only found it after I'd already started my card, so I decided to just wing it.

My papers are from the Maja Design Denim & Girls paper pack.  I've used two Creative Dies tag dies, and stamped the sentiment with a Craft Emotions stamp.  My flowers are a mix of Prima and I Am Roses.  I've also added a few Carta Bella enamel dots.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks so much for popping in for a look!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #638: FAVOURITE COLOURS

Good Morning crafty friends!

Our lovely Elaine has chosen a fun theme for us this week.  She'd like to see your
FAVOURITE COLOURS

Our sponsor this week:

I have missed my sisters so much over the last few years, so this image, called Missed You - Winnie, immediately made me think of them.

I have coloured the image with Copics, using the following colours:

Skin: E04; E11; E21; E00; E000; R20
Left Girl Hair: E49; E47; E44; E43
Right Girl Hair: E29; E27; E25; E23
Brown for both: E44; E43; E42; E41
Left Girl Clothing: RV99; RV95; RV93; RV91
Right Girl Clothing: B04; B02; B01; B00; B000
Background: E41

I've used a wonky stitches circle die by Creative Dies to cut out the image, and a Spellbinders plain circle die for the offset circle behind the image.

If you haven't figured it out yet, my favourite colours (at the moment) are brown with anything.

My paper is from the Memory Place Hello paper pack.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp and I've used another Creative Dies tag die for the sentiment, with a strip of Offray ribbon.  I've added 49 and Market and I Am Roses flowers, and Picket Fence Studios 'confetti'.

My wonderful teammates have put together a gorgeous set of inspiration projects for you this week, so be sure to pop past the blog to have a look, and then get your entry in for a chance to win this week's fabulous prize.

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #507: EASTER TIME

Good Morning lovely crafters!

It's Easter this coming weekend, and so we're making our Easter cards at The Paper Shelter this week.  Our theme for the week is:
EASTER TIME

I've used Candy Bunny on my card.  I have coloured the image with Copics and used a background from Make It Crafty.

My papers are from the First Edition Spring Drop paper pack.  I actually chose the paper pack because it has a few Easter themed papers, but ended up not using any of them.

The beautiful floral circle is a Stamperia laser cut, which I've halved and sprayed with white Gesso.  I've added a sheer ribbon and a strip of lace by Birch Creative, along with flowers from I Am Roses.

I typed up the sentiment on my computer.

I have coloured the image with Copics, using the following colours:

Hair: E29; E27; E25; E23; E21
Lips: RV34; RV32
Eyes: BG18; BG13; BG11

I have used a Marianne Design die to cut out the image.

My papers are from the 49 and Market Sweet Reflections paper pack.  I've used Studio Light dies for the waves, coral and jellyfish.

There's a thin strip of cheesecloth behind the image and pearl strings around it.  I first used Francheville adhesive pearl strips and then Simplicity pearl string over the top.  I've also added a few Paper Boutique individual pearls.

My flowers are a mix of 49 and Market and I Am Roses.

FOR AN ARTIST

When I first saw this image by Elvi's Design Studio, I knew exactly who it needed to be for.  It's just perfect for a digital artist's birthday card, right!

I've added one of her own images to the iPad: Lovey

I have coloured the image with Copics and used papers and stickers from the Carta Bella Gather at Home paper pack, for this card.  I've added a strip of lace and flowers from I Am Roses.

The postal service is so unreliable these days, that I'm not sure when this will reach it's destination, if at all, so I'll be keeping this one secret until it gets there.

Thanks for popping in for a look!

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #505: GIRL POWER

Good Morning lovely crafters!

This week our theme at The Paper Shelter is
GIRL POWER
and I decided to blend a little bit of feminine with the tough side of girls.

I chose The Bricklayer for my card.  I coloured the image with Copics.  For the vague cityscape in the background, I first used a Hunkydory stencil and Distress Ink, and then went over the lot with a marker, to blur it out and soften it down a bit.

My papers are from the First Edition Mulberry Kisses paper pack.  I used a strip of loose burlap and 49 and Market flowers.  The tools are all Jolee's

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #634: IN THE GARDEN

Good Morning fellow crafters!

Our lovely Lisa has chosen your theme this week.  She'd like to see something
IN THE GARDEN
This doesn't necessarily need to be about flowers or plants, but rather anything you'd find in the garden (garden tools, butterflies, garden gnomes, etc)

We have one of my favourite sponsors offering 3 digis to our winner this week

I have used a gorgeous floral image called Peonies.  I have coloured the image with Copics, using the following colours:

Pink: RV69; RV19; RV55; RV52; RV000
Yellow: E15; YR15; Y35; Y32
Green: YG97; YG17; YG03; YG0000
Background: BG000

I decided to go with a Clean & Simple design for this card, so that the image would POP off the page.

I used a pair of Kaisercraft dies to frame the image, and a Creative Expressions die for the sentiment.  I decided to cut the sentiment from white cardstock, and then colour it myself, to match the image.  I used RV55.

I backed the image with an embossed panel, and added a few Echo Park enamel dots.

Be sure to pop past the blog to see what the girls have created to inspire you this week.

Thanks for popping in to see mine!
