THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #565: ADD A SENTIMENT

Good Morning lovely crafters!

Our theme at The Paper Shelter this week is:
ADD A SENTIMENT

I've chosen Magical Light for my card.  I've coloured the image with Copics and then inked a background for her using Distress Inks and a My Favourite Things stencil.

My paper is from the Stamperia Oh là là! paper pack.  I've added 3 metal charms from my stash and a sheer ribbon.  My flowers and butterfly are a mix of Prima and 49 and Market.

I've used a Bo Bunny die to cut out the sentiment.

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize!  Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Thanks for popping in!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #705: FEMININE

Good Morning lovely crafters!

Our lovely Kitty has chosen your theme this week.  She'd like to see a
FEMININE
project this week.

Up for grabs this week, we have 2 digi images from our generous sponsor

I've used Briannah on my card.

I've coloured the image with Copics and then used a Poppy Crafts die to frame her.

My papers are from the DCWV Blush paper pack.  I've distressed the edges, but decided not to then ink them, to add a bit of softness to my card.

My flowers are 49 and Market and I Am Roses.  The pretty little jewel is Prima.  I've threaded a white ribbon through it and tied off the ends at the edge of the card.

I've had a LOT on my plate recently, and this card, which is actually really simple, took me weeks to finish.  I think I sat at my desk and worked on it, in about ten instalments.  I'm happy with how it turned out though.

Be sure to pop over to see what the rest of the team have created to get your FEMININE ideas kicked off this week.

Thanks for popping in!

PASSION FOR MARKERS CHALLENGE #703: LET'S CELEBRATE

Good Morning lovely crafters!

Our lovely Karen has chosen a super theme for us this week:
LET'S CELEBRATE!

Up for grabs this week, we have 2 digi images from our generous sponsor:

Thinking about a Summer celebration, I chose to use Pool Party on my card.  I've coloured the image with Copics and then used a scissors to cut around it.

I chose a slice of watermelon from Cricut for my base card, to match the image.  I doubled up the image, welded them together, and have a fold behind the front panel, at about the line of the top of the image.  Once my slice was cut out and assembled, I added a few dots with white gel pen.

I've used a Bo Bunny die for the sentiment tag.  The embellishments are Birch Creative foam stickers.

There are lots of ideas to get you going, on the challenge blog, if you'd like to go and have a ook.

Thanks for popping over to see mine!

Good Morning crafty friends!

We have a wonderfully simple challenge theme for you at Passion for Markers this week.  Our lovely Elaine would like you to use your FAVOURITE COLOUR COMBO.

Up for grabs this week, we have 2 digi images from our generous sponsor

I've used DJ Dad Rock on my card.

I've coloured the image with Copics, and used one of my favourite colour combos: blue and brown.  My papers and a sentiment sticker are from the Authentique Rugged collection.  I've added American Crafts mosaic numbers and Eyelet Outlet vinyl record brads.

THE PAPER SHELTER 2023 SUMMER BREAK CHALLENGE: ANYTHING GOES

Good Morning lovely crafters!

Our theme at The Paper Shelter this week is:
ANYTHING GOES

I absolutely love Steampunk themed 'things' - clothing, cards, etc, so I just had to choose Steam Punk Girl for this one.

I have coloured the image with Copics, and then cut her out by hand.

I had SO MUCH fun creating the background for her.  I started with black card, and added all my background goodies: Scrap FX laser cuts, Ultimate Crafts lace, Reeves Modeling Paste to add some depth, and then Prima Mini Art Stones, to roughen that surface a little.

Once that had had a chance to dry overnight, I sprayed everything with Gesso.  Unfortunately I only had white Gesso on hand.  If I'd had black, I would have wiped some of the colour off, once it was added, to reveal some of the black underneath.  Another night to dry, and then I could start playing with colour.

I chose the Prima Metal Rust Set of Rust Effect Paste, and painted over everything.  After yet another night to let everything dry, I touched up those areas that still had white showing through, and gave it a few more hours to dry, before assembling everything.

I've mounted the image with puffy pads, and added a few Solid Oak Inc Steampunk embellishment; a Ribtex lightbulb and rose chain; Tim Holtz gears; and a few metal brads from my stash.

THE PAPER SHELTER CHALLENGE #563: A WELL EARNED BREAK

Good Morning lovely crafters!

Our theme at The Paper Shelter this week is:
A WELL EARNED BREAK
(Any hobby or fun activity)

I've picked Cute Bunny Easter Egg Delivery for this one, BUT removed the bunny and the Easter eggs!  I'm seeing this gorgeous girl going for long rides, and filling those basket with picnic supplies and flowers.

I've coloured the image with Copics, and used a Poppy Crafts die to cut it out.

My papers and the beautiful sentiment are from the Stamperia Oh là là! collection.  I've inked all the edges and used a grass edge die by Kampen for the centre strip.

I've added a strip of cheesecloth, a Make it Crafty laser cut, plus two laser cut offcuts for the sentiment.  My flowers are a mix of Prima and Little Birdie.  I've finished off with two Carta Bella brads.
