Krista Smith has written and illustrated a book that grew out of conversations with her son about 'rage quitting' his video games. 'It is a story as much about parenting a child through self control issues, as it is about self reflection and allowing our children to teach us too.'
This image is adapted from the book. The look on Mum's face says so much. To me, it mostly shows pride in her precious boy. I decided this card could be used for anything that would cause that feeling in a Mum, so I've left the theme open for now, and focussed only on the 'pride' aspect.
I've coloured the image with markers, and drawn in the flowers on her shirt. My papers are from the Maja Design Denim & Friends pack. The sentiment has been cut out with a Spellbinders die. I've added a few pearls.
If you'd like to get your hands on Krista's book, you can find it available for pre-order here:
Thanks so much for popping in for a look!
